Default 13 Nismo AC problem

My 2013 Nismo has 24k on her. AC is ice cold. But when i mash down the pedal to the floor the ac blows warm until i let off the gas then blows cold again. Is this normal or is there something wrong. If not normal what do you guys think is the problem?

normal, it is shutting off while you want to put the power to the wheels, not to the AC. At least I think i remember reading that.

madwi is correct... at wide open throttle it disengages the AC so you don't waste any power on it.

When I was in High School, one of my buddies did a dyno day with his FC RX-7... on his last pull he ran with the AC turned on and it reduced his numbers by 10whp.

Every car I've owned (with A/C) has done that.

Totally normal. No one needs A/C at WOT.

Another point is it saves wear and tear on the compressor when you are at such high RPM.

TIL. That's insane! Is that a 370z thing, or does all cars do that?

Does the 09 Nismo do this also at wide open throttle?
