I must have set the bar really, really low. People I know call me productive LOL

To be fair, I haven't wanted to do anything cause I like driving it every weekend. And the parts are track-oriented. So until I find the time to get it out to a track, I wasn't really putting forth the effort when I have other stuff going on all the time.

Two weeks after the divorce was finalized I feel is an appropriate amount of time to not catch shít for waiting :icon17:

That’s right. I am buying his set for a great price. Just ordered the 2 rear tires needed and will be here Tuesday. Picking up set from jarblue tomorrow for install Tuesday.

Picked up set 19" rays set tires and rims from forum member today at great price. Dropped off rear at Walmart for new Michelin Pilot 275/35zr/19 tires which will be here tomorrow. Install the 2 front ones which have good tread this afternoon on the z.

The new ps4s? I have them. Great tire.

tag/ins/emissions

The regular routine, but with a few twists this year.

Atlanta, as a city with bad air pollution, requires that vehicles pass emissions to be registered/legal in the counties that make up the metro area.

So the 2016 370z falls under the new car three year exclusion, no problem there. I have a 1995 C1500 I bought from my little brother and I had a devil of a time finding a place that still does tailpipe emissions (newer cars use the OBD2 port). I went to four places including AAA and either their machine was down or they don't do emissions anymore. So it's basically noon when I get emissions in hand.

So the tag/registration office was bonkers. I've been in the same place for 18 years and it is not usually a problem. I spent 90 minutes there, including about 30 after the charged my card the wrong amount and had to get higher up permissions to revise the charge.

However, I'm done for another year (still the house note to pay) and after next year the truck will be an antique and not require emissions testing.

For any Z brothers driving in the south, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Florida and South Carolina are running "Operation Southern Shield" through the 22nd, emphasizing speeding tickets. Don't be "that guy".

I hope this finds you well

Thanks for props everyone. Just mounted the front set. The rears will come in tomorrow, Walmart has the rims already and will pick them up to get mounted Wednesday. Price was about same everywhere and Walmart was $2 cheaper and only charge $10 for road hazard protection. Love that Cover All wheel dressing spray.

I'm a big fan of VRT on the wheels - not too much gloss and good life plus very little product is needed so no sling

My dad got them on his is350. Really good tire. Will see how the cooler temps / transition of seasons go.

I drove them for the past year (not that Austin winters are anything remotely like Toronto). Great tires. Plus, I think they are made of iron.

What did I do with my Z today?...

I flashed a new tune on it thanks to Seb @ Specialty Z, then promptly went out for a test drive, and laughed almost the entire time as I continually scared and shocked fellow drivers on the road with many pops, crackles and big bangs, and large balls of flames! :driving::tup::happydance:

ChopsZ 07-18-2018 01:18 PM

Almost forgot, also going out tonight to pick up a set of slightly used BC coilovers (BR series) for a great price. Gonna finally get this car sitting and riding just the way I want it to.

Yesterday...installed this pristine looking Beluga axle-back exhaust. Flawless fit and finish. Better welds than some of the Autech Nismo exhaust. Sounds amazing! Very deep idle and insane, beast-like sound at throttle. I drove around for 2 hours with the windows down just to enjoy it. It is quite a bit louder than the nismo exhaust, didn't notice any drone, but if there was any, with the windows closed, it wouldn't be noticeable. Before and after link below. Definitely got my 269.00 worth!

Tires came in today, and got them installed. Watched like a hawk while they installed them and not a single scratch was done to the rims. Damn, they are wide and agressive looking. Love them. Here is a pix now of all rims installed. Unfortunately, the tpms sensors do not match my 2010 model and the light stays on. Will look for a set on ebay. If someone knows the OEM part number for mine, please post.

Ian B

Thx JarBlue for tires and rims.

Try these. They are used to 03/10 build date. There is a link to the later ones.

LOL, I put my TPMS sensors on rim bands. It has been an adventure. Keeping the back ones on the bands has been a challenge.

Met up with my oldest brother up at the hospital to visit our father (which will hopefully be getting released tomorrow).

Anyway, he didn't know about my new "flame/pop" tune on the Z, and on the way home he was following me in his Fiat 500 Abarth. After we got going down the road for a bit, I let the fireworks start. A bunch of pops, burbles and bangs, and I also saw several bright yellow flashes, and one large steady yellow glow on the right side of my rear window that lasted a good 5 seconds or so!

Almost immediately after, my phone is going off and it's him calling me. He immediately started asking me if my car was alright and was afraid it was going to catch on fire! He was wanting me to pull over! LOL

After I calmed him down and told him it was a tune I put on the car, then he thought it was cool and wanted to see and hear more. Haha He was having a blast, and the funny part was I could hear my exhaust coming through my stereo from his phone in his car! He got along side my rear bumper at one point and said there were a couple of times that the flames were nearly two feet long and would linger for several seconds at a time.

So that's that. Hehe :nutswinger:

Ian, before you buy new ones, you might want to just have them reprogrammed. That may be all you need. :twocents:

Question, someone wants to buy my 2010 OEM 18" 370Z rims and tires and wants to know if they will fit on a 350Z? Does anyone know if they will? Will they need spacers or not?

They should, 350 guys run 370z Nismo wheels on their Z. I know the offsets are not the same but should be close enough.

Ive prescribed some whisky ;)

So had issues reducing size so took screens. It sucks. Maybe get a nismo now lol

My advice would be to go get checked out. Forget about the whisky remedy. I was hit on Friday afternoon. Sunday I was layed up in bed all day. My neck was killing me.
