Things I learned taking the Z out for a nighttime test drive:

1. New Craftsquare mirrors are awesome - until you notice that the passenger mirror is slightly off and there's no adjusting it while driving. Then they drive you insane. There's also a lovely whistling noise. Going to take the weather stripping from the stock mirrors and put them on the Craftsquares tomorrow.

3. Bugs are drawn to a freshly detailed car because **** you. #science

4. Tried to log WOT in 3rd/4th and the handbrake and traction indicators lit up. Thar be aiiiiiir in my ABS module.

5. Touchscreen stereos are short bus retarded. I'm getting one with a knob.

6. Hitting an oncoming car with 165 combined watts of 6000k HID Hella goodness will make them either a) turn off their goddamn brights or b) drive off the road in a blind panic (see what I did there?).

7. 34 row oil cooler is STUPID COLD. 70*F ambient at highway speed and couldn't break 174*F oil temp - that's with three Hella FF75s in the bumper mouth limiting airflow.

8. AIT is still at 7*F above ambient even with DEI gold wrap on the Z1 intakes. Maybe the gold will help combat heatsoak. If not, whatever, I still have $$$ golden intakes, b*itches $$$

I really dont like the look of the locking CS mirrors but F me if that passenger side mirror gets knocked out of position. Ive never noticed any whistling from my mirrors. I got that going for me, which is nice.

FI order confirmed. Now a 4-6 week + shipping + finding a day to get the shop to install.

Dear Fast Intentions. Please put maximum effort and resources to get this bad boy to me by yesterday.

Jk... quality is not rushed

Do both types of CS mirrors having locking hinges? Maybe that's why the knockoff Evo r ones are so crappy. They move at the slightest breeze from only locking the top part of the mirror itself and not the necks.

Consider yourself lucky. When I placed my order in late 2018 it took 3 months.

By locking hinges do you mean a ball and socket joint?

The goose necks themselves if that makes any sense.

You're talking ab how the ball joint on Evo-Rs screws into the goose neck?

Yea. How specifically do the CS mirrors lock into place? The ball joint on mine is constantly loose and the top lock on the top of the mirror is tight, but the mirror still wobbles. Want to make sure whe I get the CS, I get the type that'll be secure and locked properly.

The EVO-R mirrors are just a shitty design. You won't have any problems with the CS mirrors regardless of the neck type you get :twocents:

lol mine work fine.

Well, I've seen several sets that had the problem where they wouldn't stay in position. I sold Lein that set at a loss because of the quality. I guess some are ok and some aren't. Typical EVO-R...

Yeah I could see that. I think me and two other people from Houston got a decent batch. Other than the rattle (thanks solid motor mounts -_-) I prefer the viewing angle of those more than the OEM mirrors.

I do switch to the stock ones in the winter b/c i like putting my hand against the heated mirror. I may get some MCR glass to replace them so i can get the wide angle on both sides.

Their fog light, however, sucks. I am contemplating going back to the OEM fog light or going Top Secret.

The ball/mirror body piece is one piece. You can see the protuberance on the part touching the mirror, it screws directly into what I believe is a fastening plate behind the CF.

Also the instructions are in Japanese. I had a friend translate some of them, will post up in a standalone threadhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...0d007b6669.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...5d4da6a1d5.jpg
