Cleaned & re-oiled the K&N filters on my Stillen Gen3, Cleaned MAF sensors and throttle bodies. Doing it all while the front bumper was off to clean the air filters made it a pretty easy job

The pink and blue gallon jugs look like polish and glaze, fill and glaze by 3M. Used that stuff in the 70's and 80's.

This pink stuff smells like bubble gum. I never thought I'd get sick of the smell of bubble gum until I used it for claying lube...

Yesterday I decided to do a muffler delete with my local muffler shop. I ask myself, why doesn't Nissan give you this option as well as a CAI, it makes the car sound like it should. Even my wife loves the growl :driving:

Probably because mufflers are required by law.

That is the first inquiry I did as Taxachussetts requires yearly vehicles inspections. The law reads: No person shall operate a motor vehicle on any way which motor vehicle is equipped (1) with a muffler from which the baffle plates, screens or other original internal parts have been removed and not replaced; or (2) with an exhaust system which has been modified in a manner which will amplify or increase the noise ...
Unfortunately for MA the inspection stations are run by kids who either overlook these muffler deletes or think that the sound of the car is what the car should sound like as I did the inspection right after I left the muffler shop and all I got was compliments from all the "techs" in the shop. BTW I had plan "B" as I asked the muffler shop owner if he knew or had a shop that would pass my car in case it was too loud...hahaha :driving:

That's all well and good for you. But I think his point was there's no way Nissan would ever offer an illegal option and hope that all of their customers' inspection stations overlook it.

I was going to make a joke ab having to spend more $ on your new car to get it functional and in compliance, but then I thought "CMAK... oil cooler..." and realized it wasn't funny anymore.

Yes indeed but it all depends on which country the vehicles are sold. I was in the Philippines for a month and due to health reasons I had to come back, fortunately for me, the guy that I tried to sell the Z didn't come thru. So over there some new vehicles come without seat belts just as an example and it's perfectly legal not to wear them. I'm sure if they sold vehicles with no catalytic converters there it would be perfectly legal as the pollution is so bad, therefore the reason why I'm back, asthma sucks and over there is 100% worse..anyway back to the topic on hand, thanks for reading :driving:

Got my redline oil in today, time to install my 25 row Stillen oil cooler this weekend.
I’m excited, saw just over 195 just lightly cruising to the store and back today. Ugh.

Edit: which is 7 miles from my house btw
