Installed Nismo floor mats to replace some cheap rubber ones.
Fixed and/or cleared a bunch of random DTCs.
Cranked the engine and ran it long enough to settle the idle and warm up the oil.

First time the car has run with no codes or issues in over 6 months :driving:
Still have a few things on the list before she's ready to run hard, but I'll take her out for a spin sometime this week

Which Polk set did you use? I've been eyeing them for a little while now.

LOL, now that is funny. Talking about a parts pile waiting to be installed. I know the feeling.

I didn't even get to install the good stuff. Brake ducts have been sitting for over 3 years. Oil cooler more than 2 years. Arc coolant reservoir/catch can is only a couple months old.

Well, Z left me again at HEB Leander Texas. It would not start. The manager came and jump it thank God and him started right away. I said, frack it, called Cedar Park Nissan to see how long of a wait, he said none. Drove straight there, told him the issue and 1.5 hours later back on the road. Charging system, starter and alternator all tested and fine, it was that damn pos Optima battery that failed. Nissan is using Interstate batteries which are my preference and got it installed, tested and back on the road. Funny thing I had the battery tested at Auto Zone last Sunday and he said it was good with 82% on the reading. Oh well, stuff happens. Now I have a new battery w 2 year warranty at 100% before it gets prorated for 3 more years.

Forgot the SPL FUCAs are going on 5 months ;)

I'm also eyeing a new clutch setup from Joe and solid SPL mounts (engine, trans, diff, subframe). Unfortunately, I probably can't swing new diff and coilovers at this time :(

Need to do some routine maintenance:

Replace power steering fluids
Replace radiator fluids
Replace brake fluids

I can relate to this all to well.

I replaced my clutch helper spring yesterday. It was a bitch to get the pin back in but everything finally went back together with no issues. Went for a nice drive with my wife to test the clutch pedal action and I was very pleasantly surprised with the softer spring. This is the way they should have came from the factory. What was Nissan thinking using a 300 lbs spring for the clutch pedal. Even my wife noticed my smoother shifting. Very happy so far.

I found documentation last night. They are Polk DXi component speakers. They sound a little stuffy but that's only because they're still running off the OEM headunit at the moment.

I’m a huge Polk fan. Ran them in my S-10 back in the day and still have a sound bar and the three front speakers in my home theater.

Got a call back from Kevin at Austin Z clinic and my fan belt has cracks and the rear brakes failed. He will replace both and should have the car back at noon today. Very reasonable prices.

Got car back and running like a champ. He checked my power steering pump as dealer had said there was some leakage that would need replacement down the line. Kevin did not find any leaked and stated pump is sealed and nothing to worry. Overall, very satisfied and he saved me $135.00 over the dealer. Will recommend him to anyone who needs work on their Z whether new or classic Z.
