There's a fine line between speeding and being a tool, though.

One little error at that speed, and you're dead. There was even a recent example of a guy dying behind the wheel of his Z, after losing control while street racing in Australia. Sadly, he's not the only one.

If someone wants to go that fast, they need to find a legal and safe venue to do so. I'm sure no family has a desire to be destroyed because some ******* felt he needed to see how fast his car is.

Circumstances matter too - there's a difference between ripping through a few gears on an empty freeway or keeping your foot in it all the way up the on-ramp, and weaving through traffic, racing, etc.

Street racing is wildly different than going 125 on an open smooth highway. I went 125 in my 4 banger 115 hp accord.

Exactly why this thread is stupid, who cares how fast you can go on a smooth open highway, a minivan can do 110+. How fast can you do a lap on some track that's something.
