MARANGONI Z-HYDRO: technical notes

Starting from the base of a brand new Nissan 370Z R34, Z-HYDRO presents a total reinterpretation of the car with substantial actions at the level of body, engine, interior, braking system and chassis.

Hydro Kit

The real innovation is the revolutionary power supply kit that produces individually HHO Hydro (Oxyhydrogen) and works in perfect symbiosis with the original engine. The HHO is injected developed by the station inlet of the engine, which responds with a drastic reduction in HC, unburned hydrocarbons, (brought to almost zero) and emissions in general with attached considerable improvement on fuel consumption .

This trial, coordinated by TRC Italy, in collaboration with HydroMoving Mariani and Engineering, for the moment leaves unchanged the original power of the car and, as confirmed by the Ing. Lorenzo Errico, founder of the system will be able in a second step to increase considerably.

Bodywork and design

It will not be difficult to imagine the derivation of design donated HYDRO-Z because it is obvious similarity with her older sister Nissan Skyline GTR R35.

The front bumper Performance TRC has in fact the same central grille with attached two large air intakes with an outflow directed to the plant now much more powerful. As for the rear speaker was originally removed and replaced with a new component made of carbon by MB, which has showy facilitating better flow of air extractors. Carbon is also used to build the cups mirrors, wing on the trunk of the interior panels and logos. The aluminum doors have special hinges hours of LSD, which was further altered to make it possible to open the doors Gull-wing, as in the most prestigious supercars.

All components designed for the Z-HYDRO will be sold in 2010 by TRC Italy.

Other equipment

Z-HYDRO was lowered by about 4cm by adopting an attitude to KW threaded ring that allows precisely the adjustment but also the damping in compression and extension. The front suspension also feature the new system that enables HLS to raise up to 5 cm electronically at the touch of a button located on the center console of the car. The braking system already significant number has been replaced on both axes with the innovative Tarox B350 12-piston calipers and composite discs with diameter 400 for the brake surface to brake an absolute power and modulated at the same time. The leverage of the gearbox is now equipped with a special selector that allows the reduction of stroke resulting in faster inserts.

The release of the engine has been improved by adopting exhaust manifolds, rear and stainless metal catalysts 200celle. The aspiration of the two banks was amended by removing the original boxes and taking a cotton air filters to direct intake with new covers in like-carbon.

The front seats and door panels have been skillfully covered with leather and alcantara blue color strictly by the skilled hands of Luna supercar.

Tires concept "M Power - Blue", created for the occasion by Marangoni Oxigin wheels are paired with black full polish rock Vierzhen Ox 8.5 x20 front and 11x20 rear.

The Lambo Doors are a little off as are the horrid wheel. But this look is all the rage with European Tuners at the moment (so to be a crowd favourite/best of show youre gonna need to do that). Apart from that this car is mega! Developing a car that runs on hydrogen is no mean feat and to do it to a fantastic 370z is awesome!

You have exactly understood the objective of this creation, this car is for people like you who can see beyond "taste" of a wheel or the color of a body (although for tuning, here in Europe this car has a great expression), is more of a tuning, is a gamble, for bringing a car of this kind in a transformation that no one would dare to do, is a revolution.

the shiny blue leather on the seat bolsters is icky. i'm thinking more like a rsx-r cobalt felt-ish material instead.

WTF?! this car has headlight washers?!?!?!

I don't know, the gull wing doors don't bother me as much as it does some of you guys. I don't think I would call it white trash. Those doors on a Ford Probe... maybe.

in any case I wouldn't put any of this on my car.

HHO =

Water Car Test - HHO Shows Why You Can't Run Cars on Water - Popular Mechanics

and
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water-fuelled_car

"Many alleged water-fuelled cars obtain hydrogen or a mixture of hydrogen and oxygen (sometimes called "oxyhydrogen", "HHO", or "Brown's Gas") by the electrolysis of water, a process that must be powered electrically. The hydrogen or oxyhydrogen is then burned, supposedly powering the car and also providing the energy to electrolyse more water. The overall process can be represented by the following chemical equations:
2H2O → 2H2 + O2 [Electrolysis step]
2H2 + O2 → 2H2O [Combustion step]
Since the combustion step is the exact reverse of the electrolysis step, the energy released in combustion exactly equals the energy consumed in the electrolysis step, and—even assuming 100% efficiency—there would be no energy left over to power the car. In other words, such systems start and end in the same thermodynamic state, and are therefore perpetual motion machines, violating the first law of thermodynamics. And under actual conditions in which hydrogen is burned, efficiency is limited by the second law of thermodynamics and is likely to be around 20%.[9][10] More energy is therefore required to drive the electrolysis cell than can be extracted from burning the resulting hydrogen-oxygen mixture."

I wouldn't dismiss the HHO quite so quickly. The developers of this car clearly know the basic chemistry involved in separating hydrogen from oxygen and recombining them. The HHO gas maybe acting as a catalyst to improve the efficiency of the gasoline combustion allowing a leaner fuel mixture. Look at water injectors used to allow higher compression motors to run turbo's. I'm sure someone told them they couldn't make more power because water doesn't burn.

In fact the study and subsequent tests could be to increase the power always using the HHO
