My mechanic gave me some sound advice after I installed mine. He said you might want to remove the under tray just so you can do a visual check for leak fluids and other stuff that might not be readily apparent. And he was right, I have found a couple of same leaks that never made it to the ground.

I have the ZSpeed undershroud. I remove the whole shroud everytime I do an oil change. It gives me a chance to look at things. As far as it bending when you hit something. It does. I beat mine up during a trackday. Broke the black plastic piece under the bumper, and bent the shroud up pretty good. Got home and removed the shroud and the plastic piece. Took a hammer and hammered the shroud back into shape. Had to order a new plastic piece though.

Exactly why you should remove it every oil change.
