Sport if you're not going to mod too much. The only real benefits for the sport is the improved brakes and the rev matching which is only applicable for you get the manual. Base isn't a bad option if you are planning on new suspension, wheels, wing, a BBK, and diff. And you'll have a much better car.

Sure, but all of that costs a lot more than the sports package. Not to mention, if you get the sports package, you can still do the same upgrades but you have parts to sell that can help you recoup some of the cost.
