In 1982, I was 24 and drove a Porsche 911 Targa as my DD, gloves were helpful on cold California mornings with the top off. Fast forward, the kids are out of college, I'm in the market for a coupe. I would not wear gloves in California.

Good point. If I had a Nismo with the alcantara steering wheel, I'd probably be tempted to wear driving gloves.

Regardless of wat people think, I think u can get away with wearing gloves in a sports car. Would look silly in a normal car though unless u don't want ur hands tanning or something, reasons unrelated to enjoying a car.

Every time I get in the car. Lined deer skin in the winter. Deer skin in the fall/spring, peccary leather in the summer. The steering wheel is a bit to slick without them.

I'm looking for lightweight, breathable gloves for the summer months. Something warmer for the winter months would be nice, too, but not too warm because Austin doesn't actually get cold. Nothing bulky.

I've thought about batting gloves and golf gloves and stuff, but they just don't look right for the most part.
It's pointless for me to consider them now. My steering wheel has hand sweat and everything all on it.

What's a good solution to clean up the wheel?

I use a warm water on paper towel.

once had to use watered down rubbing alcohol

I am tempted to buy gloves for summer months cause I get sweaty hands but then I'd get weird tan lines on my hands/wrists. plus it can get hot...

I already get the weird tan line on my wrists from golf (and it's just one hand, since one glove is used).

Men don't need rough, callused hands either.

Tear a callus off sometime. Then get back to us on how men shouldn't wear gloves.
