Default Lease, dealers, AAM

So, going in for service on saturday to the stealer (have complimentary service agreement, I understand most will say go elsewhere). The car is leased and I threw on short tails. Should I switch back before I go in or should I be ok?

Thanks in advance for the input!

I think you'd be fine. I cant imagine they'd care about short tails especially just for service.

Thanks, I kept all the original parts and will definitely put back when turning the car in.

u will be surprised how disconnected the service dept is from the sales dept and accounting/finance. they wont know or care wat car they are servicing as long as they get paid.

Default Dealer Service

Say what you will about dealer service (oil change, etc.) I feel very comfortable with the dealer I bought from, for oil changes, etc.
These quickie oil change places spill Oil on your engine, don't know....don't care....use cheap filters, you honestly have no idea what brand of oil they are using.

Took my old TransAm to one of these places, they didn't tighten the oil filter and next day huge oil stain under the car no oil in the engine....i like dealer oil changes.

Default Actually??

I recently bought a set of ramps, and do all of our cars (3) oil changes my self. (The Suburban is easy, plenty of room under it.) I can take my time & let it drain properly, KNOW what oil is going in. Buy premium filters, and if anything is wrong....know who to blame.
Of course, I am unemployed and have the time.

Most low level techs are the dealer (i.e. the ones doing your oil changes) are no better than the ones at those quickie lube shops you refer to. I've opened my wife's hood to find a bag of McDonald's fast food trash after dealer service more than once

Thanks for the additional input, I trust this dealer was just curious what the implications could be for having short tails on a lease.

Sales and service are completely separate building. One tech asked what kind of pipes they were but no issues.
