I chose a base non-sport because it fit my price point at the time of purchase. I've upgraded wheels, suspension, and LSD as my income has allowed. Financially it would have made more sense to have saved an extra year or two to get the sport package, but that also would have been 1-2 years of not driving a Z. Plus the LSD I have (Quaife) is better than the VSLD on the sport and I like the wheels I have more than the Rays. Not having SRM also forced me to learn how to heel-toe. Every car decision is a personal one and for me getting the non-sport has worked out just fine.
