Is the SynchroRev Match worth it?

Hi,

I'm new to the forum and looking to purchase a pre-owned 370z. ;)
I've always had a 2nd car, as my fun car with a manual tranny.

Finding a pre-owned 370z, with low miles, sport pkg, color that want, etc is taking a long time to find. I was thinking of giving up on the sport pkg.

But, is the synchro rev match a worthwhile option that it's worth waiting for? Is it more of a gimmick? After having it, could you imagine owning a Z without it?

Please let me know your thoughts...

Thx

Rush into buying a base and you're going to be kicking yourself a few months down the line for not waiting it out for a sport package. So simple answer, yes it is worth the wait! I don't really care for the synchro rev feature so much but the wheels, spoiler, bbk, and forged rays are worth the extra time.

Or get the touring if your girlfriend needs heated leather seats.

As Zbrah points out, the base is lacking in too many areas to be a worthwhile purchase. You could easily put $10k into the car just to get it up to the level of the Sport package in terms of wheels, brakes, LSD, etc., and still be missing SRM.

Its a must.

Not all Manual cars got this feature...if you don't like can turn it off.

sport is way to go

I like my SRM when I'm having fun on the back curvy roads. Regular day to day I turn it off seems like I get better gas mileage with out it. But when it's on I couldn't imagine not having it.

YES

even if u know how to heel and toe, the throttle input lags on this car unless you get a voltage multiplier or tune. rev match is instantaneous when using syncro rev match, therefore u should get it.

You don't want the base for a variety of reasons!!!

I mean base is not bad at all. But srm just makes the car a little bit more unique.

The sport package is worth the MSRP increase even on a brand new Z. On a used vehicle it's a no brainer.

Thanks everyone. I'll be purchasing a Z with the sport pkg.

Better yet get a Nismo (basically a base/sport with a cool body kit, wider tires, lower stance, nicer exhaust, 500 extra rpms, and a number plate). Then you can have all the base/touring owners tell you how you wasted your money while they spend thousands on rims, body kits, and lowering springs to make their cars look as nice as yours.:ugh2:
