They just certify that someone drove it before you :ugh2:

It doesn't come with anything you aren't already paying for, trust me. Whatever warranty it comes with is not worth the chance that the previous owner beat the $hit out of the car for a year before trading it in :twocents:

I bought my 2014 pearl white touring sport 6 speed fully loaded 0 mileage , 1% interest thru Nissan, 37k out the door flat. Forget the base, has basically no value what so ever. Get the fully loaded on, backup cameras leather seats, hested seats, spoiler, sport wheele, sport brakes. 13k miles is NOTHING, still new. My 2014 just hit 13k miles today.

^^ lol for that price, one can get a Nismo. Whether one wants a Nismo, is a different story.

And, the touring package over the base sport only adds the letherette bolstered heated seats, cameras and thats it. The new base sport comes with Bose now, even less reason to buy a touring package.

But I like telling people how to spend tens of thousands of dollars of their own money.

The biggest reason to get a base is because you plan on doing lots of mods where you would removed many of the upgrades. Changing the wheels, LSD, gearing, and seats would eliminate most of the reasons to get an upgraded version.

I would only get a used car under 2 circumstances.
1. I personally know it's history, for example it was my neighbors and I saw it every day and it was well taken care of.
2. I have the ability to fix the car myself cheaply and easily because I have worked on many like it in the past and am familiar with it's problems and quirks.

I did not know that. That's pretty cool. :driving:

wtf does "certified pre-owned" mean anyway?

barebone maintenance done by the dealer? car is used. you're buying the original owner's problem. just get the new one.

No idea..I'm not sure if there are any maintenance records right now. I do know that the car is a lease from TN. CarFax is clean..AutoCheck reports one accident in FL. Says (front left corner). It doesn't say if it was severe or minor.

Me either until I started researching the new models some more...I think it just started for the 2016 models.

I bought a 2016 Sport 6MT in July in San Francisco for 29,500. Thats 2016.!!

The fabric seats are great, and it does have Limited Slip Diff, better Brakes, SRM and BOSE as do all Sport models.

If you like the integrated NAV and heated leather seats consider a new touring, but contrary to other owners I LOVE the BOSE system in my Sport model and am very happy with that choice. The phone integration and the sound quality are excellent.

If leather or heated seats are an issue they can be added easily at a later time. Welcome | Car Leather Upholstery | Custom Auto Leather Interiors by Katzkin

Buying new gives you better financing as well as knowledge that you are starting with a fresh model with brand new warranty. I don't think your price on the CPO car is very compelling.

Assume this late in the year you should only be looking at a 2016 model year (new) at that price. I would pass on a 2015 at this point.

Thats correct, this is new for 2016 models.

Btw, that used Z has an accident on it, and they want the same price as the new Z....

I'd laugh at that dealer in the face and get the new one. I mean, unless you're retarded, really.

I digress lol...

mishuko 12-21-2015 01:33 PM

after reviewing those rims it came with it's no wonder the owner got into an accident.

so yea... go with the new. minus the faux engine noise.

mishuko 12-21-2015 01:35 PM

i also like to say i got a 2012 sport touring (only option vs base here in canuckistan) 9.5... lets say 10k mile for argument Z for 22.5k USD converted at todays $

sooooooooooooooooo definitely ripping you off. wouldn't pay more than 18k on the car with an accident on it. hell even 15k might be fair game.

D.Stillwell 12-21-2015 01:44 PM

I paid 27k out the door, for a brand new Z base + sport.

So what? That means nothing right....

But the point is, look around! Now is a great time to buy a Z and you can find good deals for a new base sport for under 30k all day long. A sport/touring + tech in my area runs about 32-35k.

:icon18:Thank you for the wise advice :tiphat: I pretty much had my mind made up before, but I needed a little extra sense. The used is priced high..and I am not fond of it having an accident at all.

I'm assuming either the dealer put those rims on..or they were put on after the car was fixed from the accident (and went to auction). They are supposed to be brand new rims and tires. I'm not sure what condition the OEM wheels are in..
