i bought a new 2016 sport, almost $2.5K off sticker..looked at used but the prices were really HIGH,,spent a little more, like the warranty, love the car.

did all the negotiating on internet, ca$h talks.
the sacramento dealers were all $4K than sticker:eek:

took my money to the bay area at the end of the month sales quota time..

Yup! I've already seen two totally restored 240z's in my area. Timeless styling IMHO. And they're scoring 370z money and more at the big auctions (Barrett- Jackson, etc.) I drove a buddy's '70 240z home for him back in the day. Sweet ride, smooth shifter, torquey motor. For the money, nothing compared to them at the time.

Ive put it on the wrong context none of the 370Zs

GREAT news...went to put my desposit down on the new 370z to find out that it had sold about an hour beforehand.

Salesman tried to play it off cool. We were starting to line up the delivery/return of the vehicles and the paperwork. Then he throws in, "oh, by the way, that white one sold this morning...but we can offer you the same deal on the black one we have in stock". I told him to forget it, I'll buy elsewhere. :shakes head:

I told him if I wanted black I would have bought the new Z that is 45 minutes from me...why would I drive over 7 hours???

the search continues....

You drove 7 hours to the dealership and they sold it out from under you?!? WTF!! I would be pissed and speaking with the GM before leaving.

Or did you drive 7 hours to the dealer without confirming the car's availability?

lol neither..thankfully. I would be beyond pissed if that were the case. We had started to arrange either shipping it to me or me coming to pick it up.

2014, no questions asked:

#1: New cars are for suckers in terms of depreciation, especially a sports car, gas guzzler, 2 seater that can carry no more than a few groceries...

#2 APR on loans depending on terms should be no more than 3% if you have good credit. The difference you'll be paying on interest FAR OUT WEIGHTS the cost of all the additional features you'll be getting on the 2014

#3 13K miles is a joke on a car this well built.. its practically at 0 miles in my opinion

#4 I always ask people this question...once the glamour and glitz have gone away of a "base" new car you don't want to pull up next to a guy with all the options you could have and then say to yourself....f_ck. Trust me i was there with my first Z. Loved it to death but did wish for all the options once I had it for a few months

Always keep this in mind when shopping for what you WANT..."Price is only an issue in the absence of value"

Good luck!

I would buy the base sport, would much rather have the piece of mind of it being new. Also the sport wheels are better than Concavo, I wouldn't care about the back up camera, and I prefer the cloth base seats over leather. That's just my 2 pennies

I have the optional camera mirror n it works GREAT. You can get it as a dealer option.

I traded a G37s coupe for a base sport Z. All that never happened. I guess it depends if you give a Eff about what the Joneses are doing ???

I say f*ck the Joneses n there mama's. I do it for me not to impress. But that's just me...

Agreed, if your worried about impressing people. The car itself usually will do that but the options are solely for you. Base sport and touring sport look identical from the outside. All the interior stuff is for you, Heated/cooled seats, back up camera, etc..its all for convenience.

LA370z 12-23-2015 07:47 AM

I would go with the 2015 sport personally.
