Seems most people don't care and/or realize the responsibility you hold driving a vehicle.

It's a bit unnerving, but it seems to me that the faster and more capable your average car gets, the more people take for granted. I hope, within our lifetime, automation gets to the point where the 90% of those who have no regard for others can be Driven, while the rest of us are allowed to Drive.
