I have several friends that have FIAT 500C ABARTH, they love them, but they also have several Alfa's to drive as well...

Report back with what they think in a few years. What they think of them when they're new doesn't indicate their reliability over time. I don't think anyone disagrees with them being fun; the issue brought up here was if you could expect them to be trouble free over time. That's why I have such an issue with ratings for car 'Initial Quality'. WTH?

You said they have Alfas to drive, like that's a GOOD thing.
Real fun cars, but also junk if you put enough miles on them to find out. Parts? Forget it. Don't ask me how I know.
They went away for a bunch of years too. Just long enough to come back and re-fool a bunch of new pooches who don't know otherwise.
