It sounds like you've had a lot of work done on the car recently... that means everything from a plastic bag that got under there, to a seeping gasket, to somebody dropped a plastic clip that managed to get lodged somewhere could be the cause.
You may want to get the car on a lift and inspect everything to see if you can find evidence of something burning to pin point it. Good luck -- hopefully something very minor.
