I had a cop going opposite traffic pull a 180 yesterday night in the middle on a busy 2 way lanes, then cutting off cars behind me as I decided to take exit all of sudden.

End of the night, 3rd citation for no front tag, the cop goes like "you can keep paying for the tag citations or you can get a front tag"... I guess I'll have to keep paying for the tag citations :icon23: :icon17:

LOL......either one will work for your situation. I just went with Moweraxle because they responded to my message first. Overall, I am satisfied.

Getting crazy looks by German's of all ages. They have no idea what it is when I come rolling through. When it is parked, there are always older German's looking in my windows. Had it on a lift today and had someone come over thinking it was a Porsche. No NISMO's in my area that I have seen, only a few 350's around.

Some people say the Nismo is overpriced. You get a set of 1k+ tires, the new rims, the suspension, the body kit + wing, and the seats/interior for under 10 grand. Maybe I'm just nieve in thinking that it wasn't a bad deal if I plan on keeping those things on the car.

Back the the attention thing. In WI almost no one owns a sports car, so I get a lot of looks :) Half are jelly, half are looking at me like I'm a tool for driving a sports car in WI.

Also I was jelly of the car for the longest time, and I did know how much it cost. I grew up in utter poverty. Went to army to go to school to get my current job, all on my own dime. So for me the car means a lot to me personally as a symbol of where I am in life. It might not be a lot to some people, but it is to me. That might make people judge me, but so be it, it is what it is. I'm proud of it.

In my condo garage space sits my 2010 Magnetic Black Nismo....a few spaces away sits a black 2012 Cayman S with black wheels and black badges, must be some kind of package..I have no idea. Guess which one gets more compliments from people that live in my building? My Nismo....

Did anyone here buy the Nismo for the 18 HP. I'm pretty sure I didn't.

I guess the tires, rims, suspension, body kit and wing cost Nissan nothing, and are utterly worthless. I'm going to go kill myself now because I made such a terrible decision.

Tires are not much diffrent then the sport, RIMS look pretty much the same as the sport, and you can buy BETTER suspension and a BETTER body kit for LESS than the Nismo cost difference over the sport (and it COSTS WAY MORE than the base)..........

Congrats on buying a slower car with a body kit for MORE MONEY.......


P.S. those carbon fiber tire valve tips would look GREAT on your NISMO........

According to a fellow Auto-X'er this past weekend I should have gotten a Nismo instead of my Sport Touring. :shakes head:

I found the comment amusing but kept it cordial and replied with an okay.

There's nothing wrong with having a Nismo, sport, or base as its basically the same car with different options.

I did a canyon run a friend who owns a white NISMO last Sat.
I think it looks absolutely AWESOME! :yum:

I ended up buying his NISMO seats and they feel better than my 40th red leather seats. :ughdance:

What specifically did he say a NISMO would give you that your Sport Touring wouldn't? It seems the extra horsepower just allows a NISMO to have larger tires, more weight and more downforce without losing speed to a base Z. I would think that none of that would make much difference in autocross.

Maybe the kid was just making conversation. I'm running RE11s sized 305/30 out back and 275s up front along with a Stillen CBE.

I'm thinking he might have meant that the Nismo looks better with the different wheels and body kit.

Ya' know I usually hate white cars, but I have to say that a Z totally redeems the "color". I bought a NISMO because of 1) its looks 2) because it is Japanese and 3) it is a lot of fun to drive.

Bought my NISMO because I fell in love at first sight. Couldn't give a crap what anyone else thinks about it. My $ and I love it. Yes it gets attention & then comes the "is this YOUR car?".

One of the last times I drove my Niz (been in storage since Xmas) I had a guy in a 93-97 Trans Am pull up next to me while on the Freeway. Of course he was trying to get me to run but I just sorta shook my head no. He actually nodded and gave me a thumbs up and sped off... At least I think it was a thumbs up, lol.

My wife has 2 dream cars: Red SL63 AMG or PW Nismo 370z. Can't afford the first one, but the later works like a charm even @ $100k less. Happy wife, haaaaaapppppyyyy husband :)

:happydance: but my new sparco seats feel better then the nismo seats.....in the canyon :ughdance: not recommended for DD....

I've been approached several times in the past week by people saying how much they like the car. At the turnpike toll, at a red light, in a parking lot.

Even the chief of police in my area tells me all the time how much he loves my car, and he is VERY picky with cars. I got pulled over the other week, so he just gave me a sweet radar detector yesterday that will pick up all signals used in my area. He told me he doesn't want to hear about me getting any more tickets lol :happydance:
