Why would it be my last? I like my first post to be memorable.

I get a lot of looks with just the 370z base. When I bought my Z and rolled up into another nissan dealer that had the wheel locknuts in stock, they had a Nismo parked in front and damn it was beaming. Suprised nobody bought it yet, brand new 2013 in 2014. They were asking 42k for it though lol.

Minhtin 06-30-2014 05:45 PM

I fell for the Nismo trap. Went into the dealership knowing exactly what I wanted, but the damn nismo kept enticing me with her curve appeal. Nismo looks so much better in person, and I could not resist the temptation.

I got a feeling the gf wants to take a pick axe to the Nismo, but she knows she's replaceable!

KMO-II 07-01-2014 10:28 AM

lots of looks, stares, and pointing on a daily basis. And when I get out at a store, always get, " what a beautiful car " Love my 370Z NISMO.. And it stays super clean daily..

ThatKidCasey 07-01-2014 11:00 AM

I was in SF last weekend parking on the street infront of this nail salon, when out of no where this middle aged Asian man runs out, stands in the parking space I'm parallel parking into and reads my tail end.. He then skips back into the nail salon yelling "its a Nismo!".. Pretty strange and iv only had this car for a week and a half..

Limeybastard 07-01-2014 02:31 PM

Is there one of these threads for the poor mans 370z ?

MJB 07-13-2014 06:07 PM

Had a guy in a Honda pull up next to me on the highway yesterday. I was trying to just ignore him but I eventually glanced over and he nodded a couple of time. Guess he liked the car. I just laughed and so did he. Also had a younger guy in a SUV pull up next to me with his Iphone sticking out the window... really awkward. I would say every time I take the Z out, I get someone either asking me about it, a thumbs up, stares or people trying to get me to race. The attention is actually really annoying at times.

Davey 07-14-2014 06:35 AM

Doing about 65 in a 55 behind an unmarked cop, some guy in a Sentra flies up next to us and starts swerving around giving a thumb's up, then takes off again... THEN notices the unmarked cop. Should have been paying more attention to the road and less to the Z. :icon17:

Took the wife out to dinner Friday night for our anniversay at a $$$ place. In the parking lot when I got there. Was 2 vettes. A '14, and a older one. A Viper, a GT-R, a few Bimmers, and MB's (the black 550 SL :yum:), a heavy modded Porsch GT-3 . (didn't know these cars were in the area. ). The wife told me that all eyes were on us as we left the parking lot. She also said that a couple of the guys in the lot was trying to figure out what the Nismo was. LOL

Yesterday, I was on the way to work, and this kid in the back of a Camry (which was in front of me) was gawking at my car for about 5 straight minutes. He will have a sore neck today, me thinks. He also took a picture after he snapped out of his trance.

Still my favorite thing to do though: school busses. Those kids have priceless reactions. Always fun to make their day :)

KingJoseph 07-16-2014 10:00 PM

Yesterday I had a few kids in their 20s in a newer Ford Explorer roll up next to me and go, "Dude, rev the engine, PLEASE!" I accommodated and they all went "WOAH! AWESOME!" and got what I consider overly excited, haha. Thing sounds beastly with the exhaust and HFCs, though.

A few hours later, I was at the gas station and the guy next to me asked about a million questions while we filled up. I explained the difference between the base car and the Nismo, etc. and, as we were parting ways, he said, "Hey, wait - what year is that?" I told him 2012... and cautioned him against the 2014s and newer due to the gray body kit and red decals. Sorry new Nismo folks, but love the clean look of the 2009-2013.

Speaking of which, wow... are there really 7 model years of our car? Sure gets a lot of looks and compliments for a car that aged.

Rusty 07-18-2014 10:21 PM

Me and the wife went for a drive on Thursday up in the mountains. On the way home. I passed a G35 that had wheels and a glass hood on it. After I passed it. I looked in the mirrors to see it. Told the wife to look back and tell what she sees. She starts to laugh and tells me that the driver of the G35 is trying to keep up and take a video of us with his phone. He followed us all the way home. He turned off the block before I turned.

Now the 2015... :barf:

A bit off topic but I had a group of highschool kids standing on a corner, waiting for either a ride or the bus, scream out my car sucks.

Drove off laughing as these kids stand there with no ride.

Some drunk college kids tried to get me to do a burn out. Being of higher stature, I ignored the request. Two gentlemen proceeded to call me a P***y. I stopped the car and asked them "Why do you feel the need to yell that at a complete stranger?" They just froze and walked off. I enjoy getting in the head of some of the douchebags I encounter. Haters gonna hate. :happydance:

Blackcrimzon 07-23-2014 04:09 AM

The other day my roommate asked me to take him to pick up his motorcycle. On the way to the place I was stopped at a red light in the right lane. In the left lane next to me was a nice SUV and a little girl about 8 I think in the back seat. She had her window down and told me I had the nicest car she had ever seen. I could hear her mom laughing in the fount. I told the little girl she was awesome and thanked her. The look on her face when she was looking at my nismo just made me smile.

They say guys in super cars don't pay us any attention...I wouldn't if I owned a Ferrari, but on my way into Vegas I passed a guy in a Ferrari because my lane of traffic was moving faster than his. He didn't look at me when I went by, but when his lane of traffic started moving slightly faster he roared passed me, but he was slowed again because of traffic and I went by him again. After a few mile his lane cleared and he ran by me and slowed down slightly, at first I thought to myself don't do it, but I couldn't help myself, I changed lanes and tucked in behind him. He took off and to my surprise I pulled on him before we hit traffic again. My wife was following in her suv and told me later at the hotel, "that was awesome, your car is fricken fast. I couldn't believe how you kept up with that Ferrari." :driving:

Minhtin 07-24-2014 03:14 AM

Humm Im starting to get the looks too. No one approach me at the gas stations though. I do notice people tend to snap their head back into their car when I look over. Maybe I am just scary looking!

Spooler 08-15-2014 06:35 PM

It appears I am getting the A-holes attention. Today coming home I had a guy in a minivan try to take my right front fender off while I was in the fast lane. He passed me on the right and tried to make me hit his left rear. Quick steer left and on the brakes for me. Dropped down to 5th and moved to the right lane. He thought I was trying to pass his slow butt and speed up not wanting to me to get beside him so I could give him his I.Q. sign. Go figure. This is the second time in a week I have had to deal with a jealous jerk. It's not my fault he only has a junking white Dodge Caravan Minivan. I always call this the minivan syndrome. Geessh.

The day I was taking delivery of her there was a guy in front of the dealership where she was parked taking pics of my Nismo....I was also standing admiring the car as my salesman was inside taking care of some last minute paper work. .the guy taking pics of the Nismo didn't pay much attention to me as I was in a T-shirt, quick dry shorts and flip flops...he then looked at me and said "She's one sexy b!@$# huh?" I agreed and laughed so hard when he responded "Whoever is getting this car today is one lucky M------F*****!" :bowrofl:

Since that day I have caught so many people breaking their necks on the road and in parking lots staring at the Nismo...I've also been confronted several times being told how nice the car looks....Their eyes get wider when I get in and start it up and they hear the Berk CBE/HFC combo growl...funny thing is the car seems to get compliments from a range of people in different ages from young to old.

I had a first today and want to share it with you all. So, on the way to work I have to stop at a school crossing. The female crossing guard walks to the center of the crosswalk and stars a my car as a kid crosses and when she start to walk away she says man that is one nice car. I said thank you and she say what is it.....a GTR!!! I laughed and no it's a 370 and drove off laughing my a$$ off.

MJB 08-25-2014 06:37 PM

Today I finished putting my stock rotors back on so I decided to take it for a test drive to make sure everything was working properly. When I do test drives I generally just drive around the neighborhood. So I went across the way into this new residential development, and there were 2 teenage boys walking down the street. One says "wow, sick car", while the other one just stared. I really do love this car and I'm disappointed that I am getting ready to sell it. It truly does get a lot of attention.

BOLIO 671 08-26-2014 08:05 AM

Whoa...you're selling your Nismo? Daaaaam!!!!!

Rusty 08-29-2014 06:30 PM

Its almost as bad as riding my Ducati that I paid $5k for. Everyone thinks that bike cost like twenty something thousand. But very similiar in the attention it draws. Seems like it doesnt matter if Im rolling, at a red light, getting gas, or walking back to it in a parking lot I catch someone eyeballing her.

Mr.Ajer 09-04-2014 01:56 PM

I do get allot of attention when driving my 370z around daily, especially since its a Nismo, lowered with deep dish wheels/rims. Although there was this time when I went to Sams Club and was shopping for some stuff. When I was done shopping I had a cart full of big items, like 24pk of water bottles, laundry detergent, big box of bleach, etc. Then this couple at the parking lot approached me when I was putting them in the trunk of my Nismo, they looked at me and said, "Hey nice car, what kind is it?" I was like "Its a Nissan 370z Nismo." Then they were like, "Oooooh Ahhhh." I thought they came to see how I was going to fit all the stuff I bought in such a small car, lol.

Limeybastard 09-05-2014 01:50 AM

Yeah I went to Sam's a few days ago. Mistake. I bought two items, toilet paper and kitchen towels. Damn took me a while to be able to close rear hatch.

I was driving on the interstate on my way home from work today. Had a guy pull up next to and honk. He rolled down his window and says with a big smile on his face "I really want one of those!" I wasn't sure how to respond, so I just yelled back "Cool, thanks!" and gave him a thumbs up.

Then it got kind of awkward, because i got off at the same exit, and then followed him for the next 5 minutes or so (not intentionally).
