Yeah, I doubt it too. I don't see how water could get through the door and into the seat belt retractor area. It's pretty obvious the water would need to leak through the roof panels above the door or through the hatch.

I think the techs probably spent more time driving my car around than thinking about where the water is coming in from.

Totally off topic: what do you guys do to reduce joy ride miles driven by techs / advisors / whoever? It seems like every time I take my Z to the dealer (first 2 free oil changes then twice for this leak) there is between half a mile and 2 miles added to the odometer, presumably hard-driven miles.

I take photos of the odometer and make sure they know I don't want the car driven unless they have explicit permission from me. I bring a sheet of paper with all my instructions and expectations printed out to leave with my service guy. Some people even go so far as to leave a post-it note on the gauges. I've only left the Z at a dealer a handful of times, but I've never picked it up with more than 0.3 miles driven. I'd raise bloody hell for 2 miles.

Of course, that still doesn't stop them from parking my 6MT on a hill and letting out the clutch before applying the parking brake so the weight of the car is sitting on the transmission instead of the rear brakes

I have remove all the the plastic interior from the seatbelt to the trunk. After i have put a lot of water on the car. The problem seem to be the two small round plastic cap on top of the trunk. When there is to much water it goes in then it fall in the interior and it go down to the seatbelt. I have patch them with eurethane. I will wait 48h then i gonna see if it still leak.
So today my passenger side seat belt was wet. Searching I came across this thread. I assume this is the plug you are referring to:

That plug had water underneath it on the passenger side, but was dry on the driverside. The car was also parked in a manner that would help encourage water to drain towards the front (which I would assume towards the belt).

There is also this one in the center, I assume it couldn't hurt to seal this one up as well?

Anyone had any problems with the wiring leaking? Should I worry about these?

Hopefully my issue is as simple as those plugs. When I pulled the passenger plug up there was water there. I did seal them, and it has rained one day since and it was dry the next day. Still waiting for a heavy down pour though to see if its really "fixed". If it happens again I'll admit defeat and pull the B pillar.
