Seat belt rubbing seat

I am short (5'5") and have to move the seat forward to reach the pedals comfortably. This causes the seat belt to rub on the side of the seat above my left shoulder. Not only does it make an annoying noise as it rubs the leather but it is also beginning to leave some marks on the seat. I am afraid it will damage the leather given enough time. Any suggestions on some way to protect the seat?

i think you can apply leather conditioners to help the situation (not if your leather seats is like a suede which i dont think it is)

for leather i use Griot's LeatherCare Spray. it's a super easy to apply conditioner/QD for your leather seats. it dries to a nice matte finish and very easy to apply. spray into a MF towel (or any applicator towel of your choice) and gently massage into the seat. it dries quickly too. my G's seats are leather.

I think u should put the seat back just a little every day to a point where the seat isn't rubbing against the seat belt and keep practicing it and get use to it that way... I am sure given time you can get used to it.

Get a racing seat with a 5 point harness.

Btw, if your airbag ever deploys it's not going to be good.

I think the seatbelt thing near your shoulder has 2 different positions. Try pushing it to the other

I can back the seat up some and I agree I would probably get use to it, I really just don't want to if I don't have too.

Also, I don't think I am too close to the air bag, I am comfortable with the space between me and the steering wheel.

I have a Roadster so there is no adjustment for the seat belt where it disappears into the car. Come to think of it maybe the seat belt position is different in the Coupes and is not a problem in those.
