Oh, and remind Mrs. JAR that she is buying my car next summer.
It's still in the garage under the cover!

I stumbled upon my Z by pure luck... hadn't been looking for at least a few months. Basically, the RMV messed up on the title and registration for my 2013 Murano (they marked it down as a Rogue ) and was heading back to the dealership to have them investigate it since we didn't know if the RMV messed up or the RMV runner had. Once I pulled into the dealership, the pearl white Nismo was parked in the first spot in front of the dealership. It caught my eye and I just had to look. After feeling the paint was smooth, the interior was pristine, and the tires had about 6-7k worth of wear (which matched the mileage - so it wasn't beat on) I decided to take down the VIN and run it. Perfectly clean, 1 owner from Poughkeepsie, NY who drove to New Hampshire to trade it for a C7 'Vette. One of the guys at my local dealership knew someone up there and that's how it ended up down here in Massachusetts. Apparently they had just gotten it in that day.

A few days later I decided I at least wanted to test drive it to see if I liked how it drove. After that, it was a done deal. Bought the Z, sold my Murano to my parents, and sold my 02 Xterra on Craigslist just to be able to call it my own.

I had ups and downs when I leased my Z. After I took the car home, I got a call a week later saying the dealership made a mistake on my lease paperwork and needed to come back in to re-sign ppw. Went in and found out the car was actually an unwind car, meaning someone else had "bought" the car and took it home for two days. They didn't get approved for financing, so had to give the car back. It only had 50 miles on it. So the ppw had to say used car, not new. I got them to lower the purchase price since it was "used" and got them to include the maint gold plan for life of the lease. Went home happy, until get another call a few days later saying the F&I guy got the ppw messed up again. Went back, signed again (after verifying no changes were made) and got them to include Ester oil with my maint plan for my troubles. Got home and read over the contract again, and noticed that my residual amount had dropped from 22k to 19k Not sure how that happened as the numbers or lease payments hadn't changed (was not due to the lowered purchase price from before), but I just might buy the car at lease end now! Ups and downs!

A little weird but when i got my z some dealership people were freaking because the car i traded in had 370 as the last 3 numbers of the vin. I had that car almost 7 years and never noticed. My z and i have been besties since that twist of fate.

I bought my first Z (a 1971 240Z) back in 1982. That's interesting, to me.

A little over two years ago, I was driving an 8th gen. Civic Si. I had always wanted a Z car, and one day I was standing outside my local watering hole, smoking a cigarette with my buddy, and there was a black 370 parked on the street. It looked gorgeous at that moment...just sitting there.

Of course, I wouldn't shut up about it. My buddy finally said to me "why don't you just buy one already?" Of course, my mind started trying to come up with any excuse as to why I shouldn't, and for once...it couldn't come up with anything.

Exactly a week later, I drove home from Jersey in my beautiful, silver, low mileage '09 Z.

So the Z bug has hit home hard. My husband is trading his Juke in for a black cherry (? I think) sport/touring. We agreed that having 2 amazing sports cars was the way to go. You only yolo once

My story crosses about two years. My wife and I were at the dealership buying a '12 Altima. Hanging around, I picked up the flyer for the Z. Off handed I asked if I could test drive one. The sales guy said sure. So out we went and I was reminded of why I loved sports cars and powerful cars. This had both in one package ... again ... Thus began the two year haranging of the wife. Around January, this year, I noticed that a dealer had a new '14, midnight blue, sport touring for a very reasonable price. Showed it to the the wife and she just looked at me. That car sat on the lot through January and February. In March I showed the wife again. Her comment?...! Let's go look at it. again. So we did. It was on the showroom floor. I said that's the one. The cool think is that on the way up she let me know that she had been overpaying on the Altima loan so the last payment was the March payment. Went and arranged a sweet loan and by Friday that Z was mine.

I was looking at a new 14' Nismo earlier this year. I knew the dealer where I used to worked as a tech had one and it had been on the lot for a while. I saw it every time I was there buying parts for my older Z or our 2 Maxima's. I bought my used 2008 Maxima back in 2012 with 44k miles on it. I was right at 90K miles on it 2 years later. It was time to make a move or drive the Maxima in the ground. Talked with the wife about it. Do what you want. So I went to look at it. Drove the car and like it. They were not willing to budge on the price and I was not happy about it. Tried to put me in a Sport model and I told them Hell no. Nismo or nothing. Got home later that afternoon and talked with the wife about it. I was ticked. She says, "Why don't you try to find a nice used one." That's not a bad idea. Got on Autotrader and found one exactly like I wanted. MB, rearview mirror camera, illuminated kick panels, etc. Funny thing was it was 2 blocks down the steet at the Ford dealer. Called them on Saturday and they still had it. Said I would be by Monday to look at it. Worked out the price, and I drove it home same day. Funny thing is I drive it to the same Dealer where they would not cut me a deal every time I get parts. Even honked at the sales guy not 2 weeks after telling them that they were crazy. " Told ya I was gonna get a Nismo." He got a chuckle out of it.

Horrible experience at the dealer.

Long story short

Myself and the sales manager who we can call dipsh!t, made an agreement that I will come back in a week to finalize the deal we agreed on and I'll take the car off the lot. Time comes, I test drive the car and everything seems fine, we're off to sign my life away. The manager goes back on the deal and says he won't give me the car for the price we discussed and that if I were to have purchase the car that same day, I would have gotten the deal.

I'm fuming and call him out on his BS and said "that's not what we had arranged. We agreed on the deal and shook hands as well. I don't know where you're from but when two parties shake hands, the deal is locked". He said no again and walked away. I told the salesperson that I'm leaving and good luck selling the car. He stopped me and asked what would they need to do to sell me the car. I demanded the deal we spoke about and said I'd be willing to drive the car off the lot today. They caved in and gave me the car but omg what a horrible experience.

My gf advised me not go to their since that's where she bought her Z as well and they treated her like ****. Worse dealer....ever

We have a similar dealership here in town. The only way they survive is by selling cars. The best thing to do is post horrible reviews, word of mouth to family/friends, anything to take business away. Either they will straighten up or fold. Businesses that run like this don't deserve our hard-earned money.
