I really hope GRRM get's his butt into high gear and finish writing Winds of Winter.

That episode was kind of slow and all over the place....and way too many naked dude screen time.

GRRM doesn't give a flying f**k what his fans and readers hope or want.

Have to vehemently disagree with your assesment on these points off the top of my head:

1) We were introduced to the Sons of the Harpy
2) Hizdahr zo Loraq is becoming more of a prominent character
3) We got to see the dragons
4) Sansa is becoming a much more interesting character
5) The return of Lansel
6) That conversation between Tyrion and Varys

A LOT of meaningful pieces on the chessboard were set for what I am sure will be a great season.

GOT is all about good character and story development and having that many story arcs will require at least a couple episodes of exposition...that is usually the first and last episodes of the season. The delayed gratification and anticipation are the things I love the most about the show.

There were a couple events that have created major implications as to how the books and the show are diverging:

Season 5 Episode 2: House of Black and White

After 2 episode it appears that show and the books are diverging even more, which that is a good thing since A Dance of Dragons is a collection of meandering dead-end story arcs and characters.

So we are left with streamlined and all together new story arcs and the inclusion of two of my favorite characters: Jaqen and Bronn!

At the rate the show is going, we will be seeing some of the The Winds of Winter story by the end of this season.

Without going into spoilery details... What did everyone think about John Snow's decision? Was it the right move or not? (before the vote)

It won't be. We se more of her I think John snows decision will turn out to be the right one and that the red priestess is conspiring.

I agree the show will drift further from the books which is probably a good thing

I am sure we will be "seeing" a lot of Arya this season...there is a lot of weird stuff that goes on behind those black and white doors.



As far as Jon Snow's decision, I didn't like it in the book or the show.
