Cmike I don't think Rob was ever a POV character in any of the books. BTW anyone heard anything about Winds of Winter?

come to think of it, I think you're right.

I did watch more and it did get better.

I felt that the first 5-6 episodes were boring and it got a lot more exciting after that.

I had a tough time understanding everything that was going on at first too. Glad you stuck to it!

Does anyone know if this new Talisa girl is the character Jeyne Westerling from the books? While I do not have a problem with some of the changes from book to tv I honestly do not see the point to this one if that's the case.

yea that was my assumption, especially after she hinted that her family may be on the other side of the war. otherwise she's a totally new character.

I read somewhere that the girl playing Talisa was suppose to play Jeyne's character at one point. She says she comes from Volantis, which isn't in Westeros, so it's either a new character, Jeyne's character re-named or a new character that replaces Jeyne's.

Maybe it is her and she is lying to Rob about her real name. That would be a sweet development. She better be hot enough when you clean her up considering all the crap that unfolds.

I believe they renamed her for the show. Will look it up.

From http://gameofthrones.wikia.com/wiki/Talisa:

Behind the scenes

Originally, Chaplin was only announced as playing 'Jeyne', leading to fan speculation that she would be playing either Jeyne Westerling, a noble girl of the Westerlands, or Jeyne Poole, a friend and companion of Sansa Stark's who accompanies her to King's Landing.[2] It was later announced to be Jeyne Westerling.[3] However Chaplin's character introduces herself as Talisa when she first appears. She goes on to say that she is from the Free City of Volantis, while Jeyne Westerling is actually a member of House Westerling, minor nobles from the Westerlands sworn to House Lannister; however, Jeyne's great grandmother was indeed from the east.
