in all honesty we can pick this show the f*ck apart, but it is what it is.

Another good point....by now most batteries would be dead and drained. It is what it is, I agree, but now in the 7th season....they need to address some of these things. Food would be getting scarce too. The supermarkets would long be empty. It would all be canned food too. And they seem to have lots of bottled water. Fresh and unopened. Once again, long since depleted.

This premier should have been the finale for season 6. It took us 15 minutes just to get past everything we had already seen last season. They even recycled some of the exact same scenes.

That being said, once bats finally started hitting brains I was back on the train. Watching Abraham go, I was a little disappointed he was the one they'd chosen, but I told myself it was a logical choice. He'd gotten far to much character development/screen time last season for the shows writers not to off him.

Then as my mind started racing about how Glenn being alive would change the story from the comics, Daryl go ahead a sucker punches Negan, and we all know what happened after that. I'm disappointed the Saviors took Daryl with them. It would have been interesting to see Maggie confront him for essentially getting Glen killed.

Complaints aside, I thought it was a decent start to the season and as long as we don't get stuck with a bunch of episode full of people sitting around being mopey for an hour it should be a fun season to watch.

Last season ended with "how many bone-headed decisions can be made by the Alexandrians" so naturally this season picks up on that theme. Maybe a little more specific; "how may bone-headed decisions can be made by Rick and Daryl" in one episode.

So last week's "Next time on The Walking Dead" showed Negan arriving at Alexandria demanding to be let in and Rick telling everyone that Negan is in charge now. Episode is 100% Morgan/Carol side quest, which in my opinion, could have been slimmed down and made a portion of another episode. All the wind from last week's premier was let out of the sails.

Ezekiel is cool, and Shiva actually doesn't look too bad, but Carol's sorry line at this point just isn't very exciting. Does anyone know if the pigs eating the walkers was supposed to be a trick to make the Saviors sick or if that's just how they feed them and is OK?

Yeah, episode was slow and carols nonsense is getting old, at least for me...

I believe feeding the pigs walker meat is a way of getting the saviors sick

Saw both episodes today since i was in europe last week and missed the first episode, which was completely brutal!

Good question. If the meat is cooked enough I guess not. But they are all infected anyhow as shown in season one at the CDC. I would assume they have been eating infected pigs for s while now anyhow.

Your probably right. It seems like the Kingdom has been "working with" the Saviors for awhile now and it didn't seem like the first time they've given them pigs. So if they hadn't had issues up until this point they're probably fine.
