Took a MN drive today and almost wish I hadn't. We headed for Hinckley on the back roads. The first event was on 23 heading towards Mora, some lady is rolling along about 56. Took a while to get a chance to pass, but then as I start I see another car coming up behind but still back a ways.

As I start to pass she starts hugging the shoulder, oh well, blow by her. I look in the rear view after I cut back across and she is over in the oncoming lane running the guy who had been coming up off the road. wtf He didn't go off but was well into the shoulder before she moved back over.

I should have turned around then, next was a guy weaving on 35w, then the guy that sqeezed by my car trying to get by the same RV I was waiting on to move. Then there was the guy that took his truck into the rocks on the shoulder in a curve and threw rocks all over. (none got me) Oh and lets not forget the guy that pulled in front of me and made me go from 6th to 3rd
waiting for an oncoming to pass. He actually tried to punch his rolling what ever it was when I passed. He should have just saved the gas.

Geez I just wanted to drive my car not go out and compete with all the morons in this state. Shakes head.....

TBH, stay patient. I looked for my Nismo for about 5-6 months. I looked through almost every state of Craigslist, ebay, autotrader, and cars.com atleast once or twice a week up until I found the perfect deal.

I was in negotiations for quite some time w/ a few that I still held out for. Its very much worth sticking to your guns until the perfect situation comes up.

Not sure how picky you are with where the car has been driven, and if you plan to drive it year-round? If so, then obviously don't purchase a Z from around here. I was lucky and found one in Ohio that literally had been driven one summer there(1800 miles), and was purchased from a North Carolina dealership which the car had never been titled previously(Test vehicle by Motorweek magazine, with a break-in up until 5k miles)

Dave, this is a "personal page", rather then a "group". For the G's, we use an "announcement board" status, which works amazing for notifications & announcements.

Are any of you planning to hit up the last C&C this Saturday? Sadly my exhaust is scheduled to be shipped Friday, so won't be here in time for it

Thanks for the heads up. I'm definitely not in a rush whatsoever. The base sports model 6spd is what I'm aiming for but if I run into a touring sport or nismo with a good price then ill pick it up as well. I'm super picky and hard headed so it will have to be black and again at least a sports trim/style. The Z will be a summer car as I store my baby(2002 celica) all year round and daily drive my 96 celica. Hope some of you guys can help me out in the near future

Would be happy to help bro. I've been around the platform for quite a while, bought an '06 G35 coupe right outta college(daily driver), sold that, exactly 1 year later bought an '08 G37 coupe(garage queen), which I sold this a year ago and pulled the trigger on my Nismo this spring. Definitely have a lot of experience finding and purchasing the platform, as well as modding. Any questions, definitely feel free to ask.

There may be a lull in the rain early Friday with more showers and thunderstorms Friday afternoon. Some storms on Friday could be on the strong side, especially across Southern MN. Saturday is still looking cool and damp with periods of rain and highs only in the 50s. Showers will ease on Sunday with dry weather early next week.
Doesn't look very nice on Saturday.

A movie sounds like a better idea. What's coming out?

I'm hoping this weather settles down for a while. I don't mind the light raining at night, but it needs to stop during the day and the weekends. Gotta start prepping the yard at least twice a week now. Damn trees and leaves.

Yeah, its been a very weird year.....winter lasted forever, summer really never got THAT hot, and even right now...last year they were saying we had already gotten a half inch of snow by now?(NOT COMPLAINING), but it just seems things are up and down pretty quick.

For the movie, Rush is out right now. Have heard nothing but good things about it!

Whats going on on the 350z thread? Seems to be a whoooole different crowd on there? I haven't met a few of them, so I can't really vouch for who or what they're saying, but kinda caught me off guard, not really the kind of peeps I like to affiliate myself w/....

Rush isn't the movie people are expecting. I do hear that it's good. I would rather save that for a movie night at home.

What's different that I haven't noticed? There are lots of members/owners coming and going in that community. I haven't met all of them either.
