Upgrading my headlights either this weekend or next. Was going to have CFE do the boomerangs but they wanted $200 (o_O). Gonna settle for the dual halo thing and be done with it.

They have a new "reflective" carbon fiber that looks pretty nice. Like I said though, $200 seems a bit...excessive.

Not wroth it imo. Even the CF/Red Kevlar. Until I see it in person, I'd want regular CF. But I don't know the time it takes to do it, and how precise it needs to be... So factoring the cost down:

If it takes 2 hours: $100/hr

If it takes 4 hours: $50/hr

If it takes 8 hours: $25/hr


Which is much better than any shops rate will be, and the fact you have to wait for curing time, which most shops will charge you for, it ends up not being so bad...

Me, personally, Im done messing with head lights, once opening them up, is more than enough.

I trust the guys at Daedalus. Should be ok. They did a very nice job the last time around.

There is an 08 135i with under 40k miles for sale near me....I may single turbo that. The stock motor is good for 700hp. Only things I'll need to change I already have for the Z project. Also the 135i will actually cut my payments in half as well in terms of loanage

Will the payments be cut in half because the cost is less, or because you're financing over five years again? Keep in mind, if that's the deciding factor, you can refinance an auto loan.

Don't ever refinance an auto loan unless you somehow got a bum deal up-front. You'll end up owing more in the long run 99.999% of the time.

I have done it a grand total of once and that was because I was supposed to move to Germany and my lender wouldn't let me take the car overseas so I had to switch to USAA (who would). I still took a horrendous beating and the company I worked for paid the difference.

That's why I love USAA so much. You pre-qualify for a loan with them and then use your blank check as a negotiating tactic. I have gotten absolutely silly loan rates using that approach.
