Unless I are mathing wrong. Which is totally possible.lol

Also the new car really has nothing to do with lower payments it was just something that would be the case if I went that route.lol

I'm mostly looking at the new car because it'll hold 700hp with not much problem.

Sounds like a win to me.

They'll see Nismo, and the non-knowers will assume that means something. Your body + wing will make them think race car. Your wheels pop, your engine bay is clean, and shiny. Your headlights will catch everyones attention.

You've got a lot going for you honestly. If I get #2 to you, I wouldn't be pissed.

Its part of what I was saying above. I'm doing some other finance crap that is more important right now thatll pay off huge in a few years so instead of dumping 2-4k Intl the Z its going into other things for the next few months.

I hear ya. I just want you to finish your kit thats all. :icon17: :p

Just out of curiosity, do you have anyone in your family that was military?

I&K last year I lost to a bone stock (albeit clean) roadster. I didn't know the guy. That ticked me off a little but I wouldn't be mad losing to anyone here. Seriously, I love just going to the events.

If you guys haven't done these events they're super fun. You get to lounge around in the sun, drink and talk to people about your car all day. It never gets old.

Auto loans have a huge APR jump from 5-6 years (oddly enough, not from 3-5 though). Your payments will be higher over 5 years but the interest payments will be much less.

Yes this is exactly it. im going for less payments technically. it just works out taht id be at 60months of payments either way the drop from 5%apr to 2.5%apr will be helping not hurting

MyKindaGuise 04-02-2013 10:53 PM

DM was it a red roadster last year and I&K?

And Chris yes I have some ex military.

Yes, it was. Do you know the guy? I think the only non-stock thing he had on his car was a decal on the window-thingy behind the seats on the roadster.

To be fair, my car had very little done to it at that point too. I think I had my intake on and the stereo done.

Sheeeit, I'd be happy if I just won a drink (i.e., if someone buys me one). :p

Yeah disregard what I PM'ed you. This makes sense. I thought you were stretching the loan to lower payment amounts. Sorry, it's late.

They sell beer in the pavillion I think but I just bring my own bar so you're welcome to it.

I have a 10x10 tent and a nissan flag this year too. Last year I got a horrible blistering sunburn.

If you do, you can go to penfed.org (Pentagon Federal Credit Union) and get loans through them thanks to having a military member, or USAA too, for insurance/banking/loans. You'll get discounts if you do all 3 through them and their service is unmatched in my experiences.

Just a thought for some other options you might not have considered. :tiphat:

I sunburn like a mofo too, I have to stock up on SPF White Boy prior to the show. I'll bring a chair for your tent.

Nah, the Z votes were a ECZA thing so it was a popularity contest. It wasn't like everyone at the show got a vote.
Annoyed but not like...actually angry or anything. I had a great time.

Well that's fuckin lame. Is this show going to be the same format? If I'm going to lose to some old geezer who doesn't know shit about their car I'd like to be pre-informed so I can take a bag of sugar.

No, P&S is a judged showfield which means everyone votes. Honestly, I went to a show at linganore a month later and bribed everyone there with my drink tickets and won the import category by a landslide (have the trophy to prove it). I beat a dude with a really sick track supra and a motherf'ing lotus elise. The guy who owned the lotus was PISSED.

I got hammered and sat in the shade and made friends with random people.

I promise you it's about the ride and not the end result although you do get to complain about it afterward if you lose. It all works out.

Awesome, then I won't feel like I wasted my money. I will be doing this as well, giving off my drink tickets as I do not drink.

So I should clarify this statement before people get salty. There WAS open voting for about 45 minutes but that included the 30+ Z cars that showed up and their wives/children so... yeah.

Yes. Was this a serious question?

Actually if you just stand next to it fully clothed holding a sign saying "Please vote for me", it would work.

If you're under 25, you don't know what a good car is, so you don't get to vote. :icon17:

Yeah Im pretty sure.

"Fire" from here on the forum had a Red vert that was lowered with a CF lip kit. He has a almost 700hp ZL1 now. He should be coming down this year with that as well.

It may well have been a 370z.com decal. I can't remember but that feels right.

It will be too damn cold and there's no way I'd actually lounge on my baby.

Last year it was 80 degrees and beautiful out with a nice breeze.

eastwest2300 04-03-2013 08:42 AM

Hey DM how much of that GTmat do you have?

dmhenderson 04-03-2013 08:51 AM

the sample they sent me plus another 25 sq feet I think.

I was just going to do the hatch area. It's untouched if you want to buy it.

soooo should i bring that 10x10? lol

dmhenderson 04-03-2013 08:53 AM

Yeah. The way it works is that everyone gets their own spot and they park cars facing the "lanes" with about a 10 foot grassy area in between the cars where you can set up shop.

Never can have too many tents and shade/shelter is a huge plus.

Is it the onyx material? I bought 50ft of that, thats what Im looking for. (maybe). I'll use what I have, and see if I need more.

I have two portable cooler thingies I'll bring plus a cooler-lawn chair combo, tent, and a flag. That reminds me I need sticky velcro thingies to attach to the tent for the flag.
