The dealer.

Dealer is gonna fail me...we talked about this.

What is the dealer going to fail you for? I have a guy down there but we're not passing ********. Pm if you want
the dealer was failing me for not having the "z" turn signals on the fenders. I've had my fenders replaced with the RS1 fenders by fly1.

Just because it came with the car doesn’t mean it is required. If they are failing 370Zs then they should be failing 350Zs too. 350Zs side logos don't light up. I don't see anything about side indicator lights being required in the state code. LIS > Administrative Code > 19VAC30-70-190 I researched the VA car safety code before modding my lights. Got to keep those dealers in check. ;) |
Cool, now I just need to find a place with a lift that won't damage my car. Thanks man.
I drove to all aspects and they can't do it nor do they know anyone who can. Anyone got someone?

They could get you on your front indicator conversion. Not your side indicators. "D. Inspect for and reject if:...... 14. Any vehicle has wire, unapproved lens or plastic covers, any other materials that are not original equipment or any colored material placed on or in front of the signal device (intention to stop or turn), hazard lights or stop lamp." This has me concerned about my tinted taillights. At least my taillights are the JDM clear taillights so even with light tinting they are still very bright. Also I have my OEM tail lights on hot standby just in case. |

There's a caveat to that code. If the brake lights can be seen from 500 feet away with good brightness/illumination then it can still pass inspection. Now when I had my TSX, they failed me for having a crack in the fog light. I went home, ripped the front end off and removed the fog lights. Took it back and it passed. So if you apply the same logic then it shouldn't be an inspected item. Not all cars have side markers like that. |

That's where I got my Z from and I have many dealings with them. They know not to F with me. They passed my Z with test pipes on it last year. :bowrofl: From what I've heard Hall Nissan Chesapeake is the most mod friendly dealer. However I can't confirm that. They made me scrape my club stickers off of my windshield a couple of years ago. |

My taillights should pass unless the inspector is an ***. And if I remember correctly indicators and backup lights only need to be visible at 100 feet. |
Quote:
It's more than 100. Think about it. That means someone can be cited for following to close before they can actually see your brake lights. Lol. |

100 ft for turn signals/indicators and back-up lights. "Every turn signal used to give a signal of intention to turn a vehicle shall be so constructed and so installed as to give a signal plainly visible in clear weather and under normal traffic conditions from a distance of at least 100 feet to the rear and 100 feet to the front of the vehicle." https://leg1.state.va.us/cgi-bin/leg...+cod+46.2-1039 I'm not going to dig up the back-up light reg. |
man, I'm glad I kept FL plates... I remembered when I registered my car in VA a few years ago... smh...
guys... if you had to pick between a full carbon aerojacket amuse replica (front, rear, sides, and wing) and powder coat the stock 19s satin black or purchase the new Works CR2P wheels 19x9.5+22 and 19x10.5+12... which would you choose?
I miss read what you said. But is that Amuse Kit a must have now? If not I would go with the Works first... But that's me tho
The stock wheels are very nice stock wheels.
Running4Mayor, I'm debating on a brand new amuse replica in full carbon for a very good price from Aerojacket (saving hundreds and it is ready to ship) or spend about the same amount for the Works CR2P wheels (however, I would have to wait). So the body kit is a "must have now" in order to save a few hundred bucks... but I really like those wheels... hard decision... or the alternative is get the Works wheels and purchase the Stillen front, sides, and spoiler (Stillen fixed the fitment issues according to the recent posts). So many options... SMH...
LoL..what a dilemma.
Takjak2, if all goes well tomorrow I thank you from the depths of my soul man. Definitely a life saver.

Performance stick with the stock rims. Looks then go with the Work rims. Personally I would not get Work rims. IMO they are over hyped and are more of a stanced go to rim company. Stanced = http://www.runemasterstudios.com/gra...ages/sick2.gif My Z mods have been about performance so I went with Volk Racing. Even though I went up in rim size I didn't increase my wheel weight. |

Bkngo, Who are you letting powder coat your wheels?
Voice59, did you find a place for your state inspection yet?
Professional Rim Repair of Chesapeake VA. Apparently, the business does it for most of the dealership in the area. I have a few curb rash in my stock 19s and they quoted $75-85 per wheel. Powder coating should be about $100-125 per wheel if I remember correctly...
cool, thanks guys for all of the info... I'm still weighing my options... I always liked the Stillen body kit... therefore, I might get it first... then I can get a used force induction system on the forum... and pickup a set of wheels later :) I am shooting formostly performance then looks...
Cool thing about the Stillen is the crazy amount of room up front for a huge intercooler. ;)
I need to reevaluate my priorities lol
