Work in progress. Transmission, clutch, and flywheel are off. Let you know what the labor was later.

When I left the shop yesterday the transmission was back in. Going kind of slow because he has a trainee that he is training. Should be done this morning and I'll be picking it up Saturday.

How much breaking in mileage for your clutch?

Voice59 09-23-2016 06:18 PM

I think he said about 100 miles. It was a while back. Don't remember honestly.

Break in mileage is provided by the clutch manufacturer not the mechanic, more than likely it's 500. Anywho it's torture not being able to get on her.

You don't know my mechanic buddy. :D With 30+ years experience he tends to cut out the BS so what ever he say is what I go with. He hasn't been wrong yet.

Well it's not going to be this weekend. Haven't got my Z back and it's my mom's birthday celebration tomorrow.

I'm down to roll whenever, haven't been in touch with the car scene out here lately since my Z has been out of commission for a couple months.

Voice59 09-23-2016 09:52 PM

Ok. Let me see if ngo can roll out

Voice59 09-24-2016 11:30 AM

Me and Ngo are gonna be in greenbrier in the next 20 or so if anyone is close by and wants to link up

New clutch is fun. Can't wait for the breakin period to be over. The light weight flywheel is going to take awhile to get used to.

Voice59 09-24-2016 10:31 PM

Hey... We're looking at going to either the next cars and coffee, which is the third Saturday of next month. Or night moves on Virginia beach on Oct. 15th. Possibly both. After one of those events bkngo has offered to have a BBQ at his place. Anyone down for one or both of these events comment below. Once we get a good feel for participation we'll move forward.

Well the most memorable for me was...

Me, voice and vabam, heading from the beach out to chesapeake then back the long way thru the streets, then of course me blocking a cops view while vabam and voice have a "spirited" take off down ferrel pkwy

Another good one was me, mayor, voice, and vabam following trigga thru the skinny curves of elbow road out to a beer place in north carolina, which by the way had amazing burgers

To be honest we try to keep it under speed limit at all times.

We attract enuff attention individually, as a group, the body kits and loud exhuast... we are a target for cops.

Its more just about the good fun, photoshoots in parking lots, relaxing at a starbucks or restuarant.

Voice59 09-26-2016 12:02 PM

So I can count on jguebara Kazan vabam and bkngo? Anyone else?

Aiolos 09-26-2016 06:39 PM

Darketch 09-26-2016 07:29 PM

I'm in for a drive as long as I don't have a tee ball game. (I'm the coach not a player)

ChiefPat 09-26-2016 09:20 PM

I'm down for a drive sometime.
