I'm pretty involved at work then in my own business and as a dad. Easiest fix. Bring the kidos! But your limited to one... 2 seater cars FTW

StealthZ 08-06-2014 09:17 AM

Still trying to find some more guys to goto the show Saturday. jsmith is going. Let's get a few Zs out here. I'll be doing a Friday wash for anyone or Saturday morning at the event as well. I'll try and coordinate with any who I interested

I felt it was at the time (explanation below).
Works as advertised.
Power band feels extended over stock.

BUT, Z1 has a similar product for a lot less.
Z1 VQ37 Intake Plenum
If this was out when I was I got my M370 I would have gotten the Z1 instead.
Mainly due to price, $610 ($585 for me) vs $295.
The M370 might be better but the price difference is dramatic.

FYI
The M370 is a modified VQ35HR manifold.
The Z1 manifold looks like a modified VQ37VHR manifold.

It would be interesting to do a side by side dyno comparison.

Thanks

I noticed this last night on their website. I'm tempted to do this and the headers. I think I'd be done with the motor (after a tune of course) at this point. The car is fast enough on track already.

Sorry about your schedule change again, bro! But it'll be ******* great to drive your car see you before you head out!

Tigger 08-06-2014 07:22 PM

Alright. So I think because I'm going to be really busy for the next five weeks or so after this little cruise and I know since we'll likely be cruising down in the VB area I'm not sure if everyone will want to drive to NN for a cigar. I am offering up my place as a destination after dinner for the aforementioned cigars. It would be a nice send off to this apartment as I should be closing on my new place on Monday. Then there will be, of course, a house warming party at my new place once I get back from Cali.

Let me know who is down for the post-dinner cigar. (If you don't smoke you can still come and hang out)

Jsmith7861 08-06-2014 07:37 PM

So meet up Sunday at 4, idk where is good for everyone to meet up or have dinner, but I'm down for anywhere. Hayashi does have other things like a normal Japanese place but the sushi is pretty great. Also unsure of where to cruise, I live in the Hampton area. I'm free to cigars at my place as well, or we can go up to Johns place, I'm open to either one.

I'm pretty flexible on anything lol.

Got to swap the wheels and pull the battery tender connector.
Since I have the tools it won't take too long. :D
I put the OEM wheels on for storing purposes.

Don't know if you saw my earlier posts on that topic but I am trying to put something together for that kind of cruise to Skyline before the weather turns. I think it'll be first/second week of October. Not sure. My work schedule keeps getting jammed full of ****.

JGuebara14 08-07-2014 12:37 AM

I probably won't be able to make it to any meets this weekend. My Z will be getting some special treatment.

StealthZ 08-07-2014 06:42 AM

I totally he slammed work.
I got two jobs I bounce between lol. Yeah fall time up there is amazing. I plan on that and trying to make a weekend trip to tail of the dragon. I know a gtr group is headed there for that but if we can want we jould start a semi formal meet and group, be better for organizing events too. I'm thinking of making a FB page/group for the local Nissan guys.

Tigger 08-07-2014 08:24 AM

so you are talking about getting GTR/370/3XX/2XX owners together. That would be pretty sweet!

There is a local Z group on FB started about a month ago.
757 Z's
Not many people on it but it is just getting started.

I think he means Nissan in general... not just Zs.

And I'm hesitant to join any local group like that. The experience I've had with drama in the past from car clubs still haunts me. :icon14:

I know but that doesn't mean that FB group will be exclusively Zs. My experience is Z groups/clubs usually allow other Nissan/Infiniti performance models.

Hopefully the 757 Z's group will be drama free. So far so good.

So who wants what for dinner? American? German? Thai? Anything? I think we need to start there and I can map out a short cruise from wherever we meet to wherever we're going and then on back to my place for smokes after.

Just give me a genre y'all are interested in and I'll try to find a suitable place. And please don't recommend something different just to be different. If someone rattles off something you would like, just second it to make it easier. If everyone picks something different then by the power vested in me as God of All Zs, I will decide. :tiphat:

Suggestions.... GO!

I haven't had Thai in a few years so I'm down for that but I'm pretty flexible when I comes to food!

Well i know a great Thai place. Never does me wrong. Also another Thai place up by Hilltop that I heard was fantastic. Depending on the route, that may be an option.

Anyone else for Thai? Any other desires?

No opinion here. More than likely going to have to pass on dinner.

No opinion either, I love food. Want to let yall know that I'm dropping my kid off at summer camp up on the eastern shore. I may be late showing up. I'll text someone in the group if it turns out I'm not going to make the start, but should make it in time.

Tigger 08-09-2014 09:45 AM

So far including those open to whatever, it looks like Thai may be the winner. Let's do Bangkok Thai on Virginia Beach Blvd. Has been pretty good to us so far (for thise that have joined foe that before). I'll map out a meet up area and small cruise if everyone is good with that place for dinner.
