That's the issue I'm cheap and like saving money but I don't have the time to keep jumping on. Thanks

I'll tell you this much man. I'm an audiophile. I used to roll with a couple of JL W7 10s and two PPI 1800/1 amps along with all FOCAL components paired with the older PPI Art series multi-channel amps. The **** weighed a ton. But I loved it. Most importantly was the kind of car it was in.

Point is... I can't justify it anymore. This car is not for audiophiles. It's for driving. So I hung up the stereo mods in favor of enjoying the drive for what it is. A little more thump? Sure, if that floats yer boat. But you'll be in it for no less than 40-60 pounds in added weight if you do the sunken enclosures in the spare tire well. An added box? Ouch.

Yeah, I figured as much. Though I didn't know you were an audiophile. You would like my friend bryce, I'll have to bring him to one of our meets.

In other news, me and the wife are getting a house, and I decided to see how the car fit in the driveway. The entrance is kinda small, and upon backing out, the bottom of my bumper got a good scratching. Mega butt hurt. This has not been a good year for the z lol. You know of a good oem color paint pen? Was thinking about going to a body shop and having them mix some paint and clear coat for me, I don't think I trust paint pens too much.

For impromptu meeting, post on the forum AND text me. I will usually hang out if I know about it.

I'll probably be selling mine once I get back to the states. It'll be fairly "cheap" as well. So...if you can wait til November you'll get a decent deal.

It's no problem. Just ask me next time we meet up.

Well I had a fun day. :shakes head:

I was at a party yesterday when some one else noticed it. The tire was holding pressure so I drove home on it. How ever when I pulled the nail out today the tire deflated fast. It was a good thing I had that part of the car lifted up when I pulled it. The nail went in at a slight angle so it looks like it missed the side wall and the hole is small so hopefully it can be patched. I guess I will find out tomorrow.

VABAM 07-21-2014 08:52 PM

Well I'm heading back to work on the 31st. I was hoping we could have a meet up on this coming Sunday the 26nd. Coffee maybe dinner some where. Just testing the waters to see who is available and ideas on where to go.

Got a suggested time? Still not sure what is going on this weekend for me due to travel and everything going on here in the office.

Jsmith7861 07-22-2014 06:50 AM

I'm interested too, just need to make sure I'm free, this house buying **** is eating up all my time.

Exactly what I've been going through. And then wait for the lull. It's a lie! They're just waiting to strike and ask for more documents when you wind up busy again with other ****. Ugh. Hopefully mine closes on time. I'll be SOL if it doesn't!

Luckily so far I'm not supposed to close until september, so I have lots of time. But jesus you are right, when you think you have a free day...you are so incredibly wrong lol.

Onelownismo 07-22-2014 09:14 AM

The house buying process does suck but was kind of fun. It is such a relief when you finally grab the keys! I still need to have a party at my new place. I kinda want to build a deck first though otherwise we'll be partying in the garage haha.

Oh and I forgot to mention I bought a Bride Zeta III for my car. Stoked about that! I just need a robispec harness bar and some harnesses now.

How about dinner on Sunday around 7:00pm?

Onelownismo 07-22-2014 01:48 PM

Is it unsafe to run factory seat belts with a racing seat? (If that's even possible depending on where the seat belt can bolt to)

I would imagine that because the seat is essentially designed to work in conjunction with the seatbelt that it would be ill-advised to run anything but the specified safety belt designed for the product. You might be "safe" but would it keep you from being ejected from the car? Would the pretensioners allow the belts to tighten appropriately? If i were to do seats i'd do belts too. Just my thoughts. You might be perfectly fine. Should ask Jason.

It is safe and most after market seat mount that are specifically made for the 370Z have a spot to relocate the factory seat belt mount to. Like this one made by Planted.

Evasive Motorsports | BRIDE Type-FG Seat Rail (Full Bucket)

Running4Mayor 07-23-2014 06:36 AM

I'm down for a 7pm dinner!

Onelownismo 07-23-2014 10:33 AM

So I had a hell of a time trying to figure out which rails to get and where to find them. I wanted the bride rails but I could only find them for a z33. I did find some for a z34 but the website seemed sketchy. I also read somewhere that the z33 ones would fit the z34 but I noticed they had different part numbers so I was hesitant. Then I looked at wedge and didn't realize I had to buy the base, the slider, and then the side brackets for my seat. The cost was going to add up quick. Upon further research I found the buddy club super low seat rails. They have the silder, side brackets, and two seperate bases which is nice. I'll receive them on Friday so I'll let you guys know how they are.

As far as a belt/harness, I'm buying harnesses and the robispec bar, but I'm impatient and in the meantime would like to install my seat.

VABAM 07-23-2014 12:04 PM

Which harnesses are you using?
