I get the sorta joke there but I don't understand how the nismo figures in.

Comes from an old thread comparing the Nismo Z to the non-Nismo. Some guy made the analogy that getting a non-Nismo over a Nismo was like "choosing to fly with the sparrows instead of soaring with the eagles". So Nismo = eagle became a forum joke.

This has been a forum history lesson from b1ades :tiphat:

That's dumb. It's the same car minus a body kit, ~special interior~, and some minor bolt-ons. Hell, I've already ripped off most of what made it a nismo.

its up to you. i dont mind the drive.. it gets me out of the house.. for the hog ring pliers, almost any will do. being that we are only doing your car with them. if you planned on doing a ton of cars then i would say get some good ones. but for a 1 or 2 time use any of them will work..

Im gonna get the ones with the 45 degree head. And about 200 hog rings, should be more than enough.

See, here's where I agree with you. I get more driving pleasure out of the S2K than I did the Z or 5.0. It's just more fun and overall a more visceral experience. It's low, it's loud, it's light, it's nimble. It FEELS faster than it really is due to sensory overload. :tup:
