Since the previous thread has eclipsed 10,000 posts I am setting up a new one to reduce server load and cut down on clutter. Thanks to all of the MAZOC crew for making MAZOC meetups the most talked about on the forum!

VIRGINIA MEETS:

When: Every Other Saturday @ 10AM, weather permitting

Where: The East Market at Fair Lakes Starbucks. It's right next to Kohl's and the D1ck's Sporting Goods.

I'm sorry guys, I had to do it. I think both the Giants and Pats won by a little bit of luck this week. We got the missed FG by Cundiff (though I think we could have won the game in OT) and the Giants got that fumble recovery at their own 30 yd line. Tom Brady and the Patriots are on a mission to win the Super Bowl and they will not be stopped.

I think, if things played out differently, the Pats would have won in OT anyway, and the Giants were putting good D during OT and pushing the 49ers back, so they'd have probably just won in OT themselves.

Patriots are going down yet again, and I cant wait to see it happen!

Yeah I think the Patriots would have won in OT as well. Not so sure about the Giants though, that one could have gone either way. Both teams were putting up good defensive efforts since the last 5 mins of the 4th quarter, but none of the offenses were getting much done.

Every time you say that, the Patriots win ;)

I was watching it at work with some of my cousins (who are Ravens fans) and at the end of the game we were going through periods of panic and slightly less panic. :icon17:

Yeah I definitely understand that thought process, but I felt like the way they were playing they would lose in OT... so their only shot IMO was to go for 7 or the 1st down to buy more time.

I understand why they wouldn't risk that, though. Coaches would never hear the end of it.

Same here. I would have tried to run 1 yd to get the 1st down and then try to get the TD pass.

I think it was 3rd down on their last drive when Flacco had a shot at running the 3 or 4 yards from where he was to get a first down but instead he pretty much threw it away.

The problem is it's impossible for the coaching staff to defend that call if they failed to get the 1st down.

Yeah that was the kind of call that would make or break a season.

Man, the whole situation sucked. The Ravens gave that game away, they played hard the majority of the game just to give it away in the 4th quarter... damn
