you mean the FLCAN yes i can get it, but thats about cost on it maybe a few bucks cheeper.. just make sure when you get it you are not getting a refurb one. also make sure when it is flashed they do it right.. there are many different updates for that module being that it works on many many different cars. iv seen a lot of people have crazy problems because someone didnt flash with the right program or not the most recent update..

Yeah, see I didnt know that, well if you can get it for a good price with whats gonna work with my car, you'd be helping a brother out big time, let me know.

i can check and see.. but if you found a place to get it for that price i would buy it.. as long as its new.... any shop will be able to flash it for you.. just make sure they flash with proper firmware... the nice thing about most of the new modules is they can be flashed multiple times.. so even if the wrong firmware is loaded you can always have it reflashed.. i would reflash it before install anyway just to be safe.. no point in throwing a whole bunch of codes for no reason.

sounds good.. the s2k is cake to work on... gotts love honda simplicity...lol.. the z on the other hand is not hard but time consuming.. i would not sudjest putting in a alarm in the z unless its a full blown one with motion sensor/tilt sensor/etc... being that the factory one makes it so the car cant be stolen unless they use a tow truck or have your key... there is no point in just adding one that will make some noise if someone smashes your window.. chances are if they smash your window they are after somethng you have in the car and not the car itself.. by the time you run down to check whats going on the will be long gone.. so to make a long story short no point in putting one in the z unless its a full blown 2 way paging with cell communication.. like the viper smart start etc....

I believe both alarms are two way communicators, BUT not the smart start system, that sh!t's expensive.. I'll get you model numbers tonight, I believe I have 1 tilt sensor brand new in the box, I'll need to buy another, and I'll have to buy 2 motion sensors for both cars.

Yeah I know, but its best viewed from far away cause all the repeating facepalms make one giant Cptn. Picard facepalm lol.

Smaller size:

That is correct, it should be a pretty big turnout.. with lunch to follow. Come out!

MightyBobo 01-10-2013 06:03 PM

Well, while I may be there, looks like the Z won't be - finally swapped my brake pads today, and took it for a spin to get them settled in. Pulled into the garage, parked it, and shut it off...and right as I was about to go in, I hear the dripping of water. Look under the car, and there's a little pool of coolant on the ground, with my coolant reservoir empty.

Too lazy to look at it tonight, tomorrow is another day :-p

Eh, no big deal. I wouldnt be surprised if it's something simple - I'll figure it out tomorrow. Easy fix, I'll bring the car still. If not, I have other plans.

eastwest2300 01-10-2013 07:28 PM

Well luckily you have a garage to work on it in.. Hopefully its something simple.

MightyBobo 01-10-2013 07:40 PM

Eh, maybe I'll throw it onto the ramps before I go to bed tonight...take the panel off at least and see what I might find.

eastwest2300 01-10-2013 07:57 PM

Thats a good idea, get a jump on it.

MightyBobo 01-10-2013 08:00 PM

Would let me order any parts I might need tomorrow and potentially get it fixed.

Oh, and when it rains, it pours: water is out in my neighborhood for some reason.

eastwest2300 01-10-2013 08:05 PM

Ohhh no, sh!t... damn dude.

Kirkster 01-10-2013 09:26 PM

Look in the Mid A spotted thread, Kirk.

You smoked my truck today :-p

Also, looks like my thermostat has gone kaput.

Random luck, or lack thereof? Common item to fail, really...and fairly easy to replace on the Z. But ordering one may take some time to receive it, so she's down for a week or two at least more than likely.
