That's what Steve said.

Did you even read his story? :-p

Yeah I'm just putting them under the covers. However with the right tools even removing the OEM upholstery for the install shouldnt be too bad.

Looks like we gonna have a non Z meat tomorrow, anybody cares to come :ugh2:

dmhenderson 01-25-2013 07:03 AM

Doubt I'll be there folks. Gonna be too much salt on the road.

Masa 01-25-2013 07:08 AM

I'll probably pass, too much salt on the roads for the Z and the Altima is on 1/4 tank. I don't feel like filling it up just yet lol.

shadoquad 01-25-2013 07:11 AM

My subie's going in for free service, and I have to run errands. Probably will be a no show

chieuxuan 01-25-2013 07:15 AM

:(

b1adesofcha0s 01-25-2013 08:14 AM

Pu$$ies! My Z is already covered in salt :(

m4a1mustang 01-25-2013 08:16 AM

Haha the S looks crazy right now.

b1adesofcha0s 01-25-2013 08:19 AM

Kinda wish I hadn't washed my car this past weekend, but it had to be done. Too much chemical dust sitting on it.

If your OEM leather is in good shape then that's the best way.

dmhenderson 01-25-2013 08:26 AM

The Z is sitting in a nice temperature controlled garage with a dust cover on it. It seems happy.

Yup, it is, dude the way Im gonna do this, its gonna be fricken amazing, I've already envisioned where Im gonna put the controls. We just gotta get a nice day.. a full day of warm temperatures.

eastwest2300 01-25-2013 08:39 AM

Oh, I gotta order the tools first, the hog ring pliers, and some hog rings.

:yum: Where are you putting them?

I'm planning on either side of the 12v plug.

eastwest2300 01-25-2013 08:44 AM

That looks good, but im thinking about doing them on the dash.

eastwest2300 01-25-2013 08:45 AM

Your location is probably easiest, that whole center console will come out.

dmhenderson 01-25-2013 08:50 AM

Word to the wise about ******* around with the console area. There are lots of wires/control modules stored under it. Be careful what you shove down there.

I fouled my key fob antenna somehow putting the stereo in and have just flat out given up on ever seeing it fixed. No one can figure out what's causing the (intermittent) problem.

I tell ya what, after having an S2000, I think I will always consider a convertable in future cars that I'll buy..

m4a1mustang 01-25-2013 10:39 AM

Yeah man... it's the best. Totally different experience than being inside a coupe.

dmhenderson 01-25-2013 10:41 AM

I want a ragtop Sahara or wrangler. I would not want a convertible sports car.

Convertibles are nice, but I still prefer coupes for sports cars. IMO they usually look better, are cheaper, and have better performance. The convertible experience is still awesome though.

sooo true bro. I really really like it. I'd like it even more if I had a garage to store my cars in.
