They look very similar but the wire gauge is larger for the gen 2 cables. The problem with the earlier ones was an intermittent connection. Very hard to test with a multi-meter. One other thing,...

I took down the whole thing. Ended up being easier than expected once I moved the sway bar out of the way. I'll have to wait 24 hours to cure the Ultra Grey, hopefully there wont be any leaks...
