I had a problem with my Forgestar F14's clear coat failing within 4 months and 1,500 miles of ownership in a state that doesn't see freeze/thaw nor use road salt.

Get your wheels receives them as blanks from Forgestar and then finishes to your liking. Who ever they are using for coating is subpar!

They tried blaming my installer but when I told them i went to a high end shop that deals with all kinds of wheels in sizes up to 30" and showed pics of the machines they backed off. Then they admitted the coater was having problems with the clear that was used on my wheels.

They told me I had to cover dismount, shipping both ways and re-mounting costs to have them recoated.

Upon receiving them back the water that got below the clear damaged the metal permanently. So although recoated the damage can always be seen underneath. They did not tell me that prior to shipping back.

When approaching them about it they offered me a $50 refund on a $2100 set of wheels.

Installed the Vibra-Technics transmission mount. IMO this is the pinnacle for OE NVH while providing much more rigidity. I can "move" the OE mount on the bench with a finger to its max travel...

Need replacement every 10 years to be safe as evidenced above. :tiphat: It blows my mind owners will replace galley gaskets (at substantial cost and time) without even investigating oil pressure...

I'd rather have the added rigidity of the 3 point brace and there's gotta be a engineering reason why Nissan included it in the Z34. Mass car manufacturers don't incur such costs for nothing.

My solution was to wrap it with a few layers of oil absorbent mat. :tiphat:
