I agree, it's annoying that the default is A/C rather than fan... oh well. You can manually control recirculation and A/C off -- just push buttons, note which icon has a light next to it...

My problem is I want it to recirculate W/O the AC... I hate it when they design something so idiot proof that only idiots are happy with it.... :(

Same here - if I wanted the a/c on, I'd push the button. Not a big deal, though. Who is that chick in your avatar??

when i turn the left knob to turn on the fan, it also turns on the A/C. is this a feature? it's not a big deal, but kinda annoying.
