Nope.......just wrapped the empty plugs in plastic to prevent water getting in. I also bought gutter leaf guard at the big box store, (it's steel dipped in plastic, still looks good after years) to dress the empty holes. ( Cut to shape, and Installed from behind the facia with JB Weld. )

I've been using HF plug kits; they come with rubber cement. I just picked up a pro series Slime kit though. Much nicer set of plug/patch tools.

I've picked up a few screws in one rear tire on my Eclipse. I got a tire plug kit off of Amazon but instead of using the supplied lubricant for installing the plugs, I use Slime rubber cement. Works...

3rd flat in 4 days. Rear passenger tires has 3 plugs already this year. Need to go to Discount and have them unmount the tires and put some proper radial patches in.
