I got the same setup as you, Ive been able to manage without hurting the seats. My gf is a pro at road head but the stick gets in the way, so you gotta either be on the freeway or stopped. :tup:

I still can't fathom how enough water gets inside the area where the filter is housed to cause issues. The Nismo intakes I have put the filter in the exact same location, I've never once had water...
