For a NA car, all you really need is oil pressure and water temp. For boosted applications, add boost, AFR and fuel pressure. That's all you really need.

I wound up having a custom base made since I'm tall.. The Planted base was too high and wasn't even level.

The SRM has the sensors for the gear indicator on the manual Z. So with no SRM, no gear indicator.

You are correct. My '09 Touring 7AT just says "M" when in manual mode.
