For those who want an absolutely raw, almost pure race car sound... I installed unresonated test pipes, the ebay y pipe, and the short tails. The result is an almost unfathomably loud but...

I find it odd that the only person who does cams does it OUTSIDE the US, in one of the only places without a dyno. No offense, but I just find it weird.

Make sure you're actually smelling oil. I've found that the rich mix of gasoline and the smell of test pipes can combine to smell way too much like oil.

I still believe that the crank pulley houses some dampening. The only way to tell definitively is to cut it apart. As for why the motor exploded, it probably has a combination of issues, such as...
