I picked up some black breather filters, and ordered fittings for the Greddy oil relocation thermostat plate.
Noticed a few oil fitting are leaking, not at the threads though. There isn't any tension on the lines that could cause the leaks, and rearranging the fittings make no difference. Guess I will have to order new fittings for the lines. Also the rough idle was bad today. I tried to get make a video of it but failed. It's hard to hear the idle, but you can see the A/F start to lean out, which usually makes the car bog/want to stall/and throw a code. In this case it corrects itself before it stalls. |

1 - How fast do you need need to go to get all the dust off? 2 - When did you switch to those mirrors (craftsquare?)? |
That GReddy thermostat plate was a pain to located and get in but we finally made it work. I'll give you the details when I get a free minute

2 - Yes, Craftsquare. I installed them last summer/fall. They have an amazing field of view. |

Check out my build thread and you'll see how I handle the GReddy thermostat plate. One thing that I didn't get a picture of was the final install location. When I originally mounted it I had the bracket Sasha made flat against the sub-frame. It seemed to work until I went to mount the oil filter and it won't fit. The solution I came up with was to incert five washers on each of the bottom two lag screws so it would angle it slight towards the bumper. That along with a little upward force on the bracket to get it bent a little more and there is a good 3/8" clearance for the oil filter.
Let me know if you need any more pics and I'll grab them next weekend prior to replacing the undershroud. |
