PM Sasha (Boosted Performance) I'm sure he'll give you his number.

You're worried about a couple dollars in long distance charges over a few thousand dollar purchase? :bowrofl: :p

I thought you fully paid for the GTM kit already...

Nooooo. Just the fact it's out of the country. I'd have questions about that.

Yes I have but the way things are going is making me think other roads. GTM are great people no doubt. But when the wait has been this long and still can't get any form of hopeful date, it makes you start looking and summing up other options.

This is not a big deal. I have sold well over 50 turbo kits to customer in the U.S, this includes 350z kits over the past three years. All the components for this kit are also bought in the U.S, and the turbo, wastegate, BOV, Uprev..ect go directly from my suppliers to my customers.

If you have any concerns just let me know/ask away.

Dzel 09-17-2013 09:26 PM

I've spoken with Sasha (boosted performance) on the phone many times. He's very knowledgeable and I was actually going to go with his kit after the price of the F.I. was out of my reach. But GTM was at such a good price and at the time I believed I would have this kit installed and tuned by the time Sasha would be able to ship my kit out due to him being a 1 man show.

Who else on this forum has the BP kit? It's a great price. Location of the turbo is nice for heat purpose. This kit have a open dump option?

So this uses the OEM manifolds?

simota1 09-18-2013 06:07 AM

not to throw the thread but spohns avi made me laugh hard lol...

Hughdogz, ENT-Z, a guy in Ottawa... Those are just off the top if my head. I know Rob (ENT-Z) tracks his. Look for his journal. Or PM him.

Yes, OEM headers everything beyond that is new fabrication to the CBE. You need to use FI cat back exhaust, or Berk exhaust, or do some welding to get you exhaust of choice to fit.

Yeah I can't believe I forgot Mitch. His was the second kit installed. Mine was the first DIY install.

The first one might be Jmac?

GaleForce 09-18-2013 06:55 AM

This is the piece of art that bolts up to the OEM headers. I had to take some shots in my studio of this piece of awesomeness before I tucked it up under the car.

Yes, Mitch is another customer (local to me). I think he is at about 15,000 kilometers on the kit now. This includes a trip down to Montana (about 1,500km's) without any issues. There are ten of these kits out there at the moment, and that number will double before the end of this year.

I think Mitch is already on a second set of RE11's on the rear wheels, and from what I heard last weekend he may have welded his clutch to the flywheel. So he really beats the crap out of the car/kit. I know that if there were any issues he would let me know.

Also, open dumps are cheaper than recirculated wastegate exhaust, since it is only a couple of short pipes with a flange at the end.

I wouldn't worry at all about the fact that BP is in Canada. Everything arrived fine and half the items shipped directly from the US anyways. Sasha was the most responsive person I have ever dealt with and even handled a few minor after the sale issues for me to my complete satisfaction.

Driving it on the track is friggin awesome. Heading back out again in a few weeks!

O&G 09-18-2013 08:04 PM

single turbo = boat loads of wtq

BP's kit keeps the turbo out of the engine bay which is great as these car's run hot enough. It also leaves room to run a large turbo. The top mount single kits I've seen(minus 98intrigues top mount) place the turbo right next to the fuel system on the passenger side bank.....no bueno. Best single kit for the platform in production hands down. Best FI kit out there for the price/power/potential ratio.

Lookin good as usual Gale!

Cell 09-18-2013 08:17 PM

Hey galeforce, I was wondering how many qts of oil did you put into your engine after the spacer + oil cooler. I have the same setup except with the 30r cooler. I put 7 qts in mine and it seems like I may not have enough.

I'm not 100% sure. I want to say something like 8 liters initially.

Norton Speedgrip. 3M also has similar material. Check with a body supply shop.

KaienZ34 09-19-2013 01:37 PM

Cool deal thanks man, I was looking at rapid patch to try and do it myself. I'll check into the other you have suggested, thanks again.

I would get a quote from a bodyshop to do the work. Probably cheaper in the long run if you factor your time into the equation, especially if you haven't done something like this before.

Another car show video, the Zleeper got some nice coverage in it. Thanks to Titoboy Approved
