Seats update...
The seats made it to the US. They sat in customs for 3 weeks. When finally released, the US distributor opened the boxes to check the seats and do a photo shoot before sending them to me... and guess what. The manufacturer screwed up. The seat base was wrong, the stitching was wrong, but they did get the seat heaters installed. :ugh2: The US distributor has contacted the manufacturer in Germany. The manufacturer is taking full responsibility for the mistakes and are expediting new seats done to my specifications, then air shipping them to the US. They are expected to have the seats made in a week, and shipped out. Once in the US, the distributor will check (again) and do a photo shoot, then ship directly to me. They will cover all costs including brokerage/duties/etc, as they should. If these are not done in a timely manner, I will be getting a full refund. :ugh2: Building cars is such a pain in the ***. I would have expected a better experience given the amount of money spent. |
That sucks...
|
Damn, sorry to hear that :( hopefully they get it right this time and it doesn't take too long.

I solved that problem by deciding to never have any :D
Hope your seats go beyond your expectations when you finally do get them Galeforce |
Wow this is some bad luck you're having with these seats:icon14:
Have they issued you any kind of a refund for all the hassles they're putting you through?? |
Quote:
There hasn't been any talk about compensation for the hassles. I couldn't give two shîts about these seats now. |
Seriously. How hard is it screw up a simple Hello Kitty stitch pattern and matching pink base plates? :stirthepot:

Did they accidentally go with My Little Pony? It is a classic. Edit: just realized it's not JDM. Not cool. |

It was supposed to be Funshine Bear and Love-A-Lot Bear, but they gave him Grumpy Bear and Share Bear. This kind of mistake should cost someone their job. |

Sacking someone is a little extreme... But, after spending over $7 grand six months ago, and having nothing to show for it... I now know how the GTM group buy guys feel. |
^ Someone knows a little too much about them Care Bears. :wtf2: :ugh2:
