Installing the body kit this weekend.

Unfortunately I didn't receive the turbine housing. I was hoping to get the turbo reinstalled this weekend. Hopefully it's delivered early next week so I can get it in and go for a couple of drives.

LMBmikeZ 04-07-2013 10:54 AM

NICE! I see you are having a busy weekend as well

Looks like the 1.15 a/r turbine might show up tomorrow. :excited: Now to find time to swap it out and reinstall the turbo. It will be this weekend at the latest. I would like to do it sooner so I can get a few miles in before the long haul. Fingers crossed.

Mitco39 04-09-2013 12:11 PM

Congrats on the build coming together :) Love the body work you did.

GaleForce 04-09-2013 12:13 PM

Thanks Mitch.

That lip is sexy.....everything looks great!

ts-c63 04-09-2013 01:43 PM

Super clean work.. You my friend are very talented

Dzel 04-09-2013 02:17 PM

Do you have enough room under there to work? I'm a big due and I'm a little worried about being able to work under the car with just Jack stands.

You shouldn't have to much of an issue if you extend the jack stands to the highest setting. If its still not high enough you could set each jackstand on a 4"x 4" or something similar.

Dzel 04-09-2013 03:30 PM

I wonder if the wife would let me install a lift in the middle of the back yard! Lol

LMBmikeZ 04-09-2013 06:50 PM

:yum:

Looks good buddy!

Boosted Performance 04-09-2013 08:13 PM

I had a look at the turbine progress earlier today. I said that it was out for delivery, so it should have arrived today.

EDIT: Looks like it was delivered at 16:40.

As for lifting the car high enough...you can just get some 2x10's, cut them to about 12" length and stack them under the jacks. Works rather well.

Looks great! I think the mines front lip molded in is the best look for the stock bumper. That lip is amazing!

I agree. I would have done the Nismo front if this didn't work out. Thanks.

I'm not a small guy and I fit no problem. Like the others have said, adding wood under your jack stands is a good option. A couple inches higher would start to be awkward as far as reaching the manifold bolts. I doubt you'll have problems.

XwChriswX 04-09-2013 10:55 PM

Gale, will you be going to ZDayZ this year?

I just walked in the door at home to a nice box filled with a turbine housing. :excited:

I won't be able to get to it tomorrow, maybe thursday/friday depending on how I feel after work. If not those days, Saturday it will be done for sure. Getting damn close to the finish line...

Thanks again Sasha.

Without typing everything out that's in the OP over again, here's the thread: http://www.the370z.com/mid-atlantic-...th-2013-a.html

Location: Eastern Tennessee.

Thanks.

I'm going to say probably not this year. We have a trip to R/T Tuning coming up shortly and it will be difficult for my wife and I to get our schedules to work together in the short amount time that we have.

I should have planned ahead, got tuned then head to Zdays at the same time.

Are there any other shows/meets later in the summer?

axmea? 04-09-2013 11:35 PM

Nice work Gale! Your installs back in the day must have brought home some trophies.
