On my way back to the dealership to finish this car and get it running finally. Have to fix the leaks today and post the video for all of you to see.

ts-c63 01-25-2013 06:15 PM

Nissan should take note from this build! wish our cars came factory with this type of engine build.

Navyboy916 01-26-2013 12:06 AM

I hate to tell you guys this but no go on the car today. When I got to Nissan the service manger had informed me that the lead tech was at his other job today. I hate telling you guys this. I did drop off the right oil filter and better clamps for the transmission cooler. So Monday morning when he gets there all that's left is the front bumper and the headlight housing need to be reinstalled and that's it. Everything else is back together. So it will be Monday here which is Sunday in the states so I promise as soon as I get a chance to get a good video it will be posted. I have a short video before we had to cut the car off due to leaking of fluids did you guys want me to post it? I don't know how well you can hear but I did try let me know?

asdfsammich 01-26-2013 02:01 AM

Kick arse! Almost there!

Navyboy916 01-26-2013 02:15 AM

Here is a quick video of the startup right before the filter leaked. There will be a better one on Monday so Sunday in the states. Sorry again for the small issues.

Navyboy916 01-28-2013 09:46 PM

Ok guys this morning fixed all the leaks and have the video. This afternoon we are setting the idle, timing and vvel. We did have a check engine light and come to find out it is the throttle lift sensor on the throttle body so going to look at it after lunch. Just had to run home and upload the video. This thing sounds great.:happydance:

uploading the video hang on

jpritche 01-28-2013 09:55 PM

The video is private :(

Navyboy916 01-28-2013 10:15 PM

I know I am resubmitting the video in higher quality and making it public

Cant wait to hear her revved up and see the hp numbers. Everything sounds solid from the video though so that's awesome.

Wonka2581 01-28-2013 11:00 PM

Cant wait to see numbers..........:excited:

simota1 01-29-2013 12:21 AM

Sweeeeet!!!! Congrats man

Navyboy916 01-29-2013 02:13 AM

Thanks bro. So today a check engine came on and turns out to be the vvel actuator motor. After setting it to zero on Thursday it will be set to the required voltage and timing will be checked and set as well. Vvel is being a real bitch right now. The rest of the car is completely put back together which is good. The car sounds like a beast when we had to rev it up and cycle through the gears for the torque converter. I have to drive it carefully for awhile so I can break the cams in and ensure everything is working correctly. I can't wait to get this thing on the road.

simota1 01-29-2013 04:20 AM

There is a cruise this sunday bring her out man.... Some dude from hawaii just flew in and he put it together

Navyboy916 01-29-2013 04:24 AM

Sweet car will be done Thursday I will be there for sure. Where and what time?

simota1 01-29-2013 06:25 AM

pmed you man

Navyboy916 01-29-2013 05:18 PM

Just wanted to put it out there I have ordered the arc coolant and oil catch can for rhdjapan. It should be here next week so I hope I don't deploy before it gets here. I am so excited to get it. My next upgrade is going to be the fuel return system and the duel fuel pumps from aam.

For big power, not in the slightest. Any power level reached by a full blown N/A build (bolt-ons, heads, stroker) could be reached much cheaper by going forced induction and you'll have more room to grow far beyond what's capable from an N/A motor.

That being said, going forced induction adds weight (which some people care about) and more components to break/replace later on in life.
