I have had my car for just about a year and have done alot of upgrades already so I figured I would start this thread.

My current mods are the Stillen gen 3 intakes, Berk HFC's, M370 intake manifold, ARK exhaust, Stillen headers, Uprev Tune, stillen grounding kit,jdm taillights, and BC coilovers

I have turned to the direction of an all NA setup. I purchased the JUN exhaust cams, I have just ordered the stage one GTM valve train to compliment the new cams. I am installed HKS spark plugs, Stillen Transmission cooler, and NST underdrive and alternator pulley kit.

Nice John!

My Z is at Nissan Guam right now having the cams installed. Due to having to wait for the valve train to get here to Guam it is taking a little longer then expected which is fine as long as it is done right. I try to take pics of the progress as it happens.

Very nice build!

Navyboy916 10-26-2012 03:19 PM

Thanks it's a slow process here on Guam having to wait for the parts coming from the states. I know after this build I will probably have to start thinking about the transmission so that will be my next venture after the cams.

fairladyZ34 10-26-2012 04:52 PM

9,000 rpm vq! she'll be a screamer!

GaleForce 10-26-2012 04:57 PM

Very cool! Love looking at the engine tear-down pictures.

binary0x01 10-26-2012 05:19 PM

That's one cool build. I'm sticking with NA myself.

How's the M370 performing?

Navyboy916 10-26-2012 05:24 PM

The manifold is great I did see a gain in the mid range area. But when I installed it the car went extremely rich so I had to have two sets of tunes done to bring the a/f back to where it's suppose to be. The install was so easy and just really brought the car out of its shell.

binary0x01 10-26-2012 05:42 PM

Cool man.

Thanks for letting me know. I'll definitely do a tune I'll have it installed.

What's a typical install time for it? (for a pro mechanic) like 2-3hrs?

Navyboy916 10-26-2012 05:43 PM

Maybe 2 hrs and that's a maybe

binary0x01 10-26-2012 06:13 PM

Sweet, that sounds perfect.

asdfsammich 10-26-2012 06:20 PM

Optimized NA, nice choice. Following the gains on this one will be fun.

It looks like my NST pullies will be in tomorrow which means I will be taking them to Nissan to add to my parts lists that needs to be installed. I have place the order with GTM to have the new valve springs and retainers shipped so after those arrive the motor will be reassembled with the new cams. Just giving an update

Another update: I went to Nissan today and saw the engine pulled out of the car on an engine stand. They will be pulling the heads off in order to change the valve springs and retainers.

Just received the NST pulley set. Getting all these parts but still waiting for the valve springs and retainers to get here.

binary0x01 10-30-2012 08:32 PM

Dood if you dyno this and it rocks, I'm gonna go in your footsteps (aside from the pulleys though, too paranoid).

Navyboy916 10-31-2012 05:19 AM

:tup:Update: I am shipping my cylinder heads tomorrow to Gtm for a 5 angle valve job and new valve springs and retainers and have my jun cams installed. I should have my heads back on the car in about two to three weeks. My plan just to have the cams installed has gone in a different direction. Since the heads are off I should get all the work done now. The 5 angle valve job should open the heads up even more. It's either GO BIG or GO HOME:driving:

Unique_Z 10-31-2012 06:50 AM

can't wait for the finished product!

:gtfo2: I'm just kidding, I'm so in to see the dyno numbers. If you don't mind how much $$$ has this cost so far.

Navyboy916 10-31-2012 02:55 PM

Once I get the totals for the jobs being done I will give you a list.

simota1 10-31-2012 05:13 PM

and also just because we live on guam shipping stuff from japan to here is just as expensive as it was to ship it in from cali :shakes head: which totally is BS to me because japan is like 3-4 hours away :(

Navyboy916 10-31-2012 11:08 PM
